Is NMA wrong about Fallout?

I like how Todd said offline playability was possible at E3 but Hines then confirms the opposite:
I just saw people claiming Todd said you could play it offline on Facebook yesterday.
Not to be a dick, but can you please provide a source/timestamp with link of when/where he ever said that? No one on those Facebook threads could, they just got mad at me for asking for proof of this.
I know Bethesda says one thing and does another but I watched E3 and don't remember this at all. He said you could play it alone but never offline as far as I remember it.

At 13:06, he goes on about being able to play solo after confirming that Fallout 76 was entirely online. I think I've recalled it wrongly on Todd stating offline playability, but the point remains that Fallout 76 is going to be always online with option to play solo.

In seriousness, he probably meant to say that the game is always online but one could play it solo though how practical would it be in lieu of other players who team up versus the solo player is quite questionable. I think it was some articles immediately after the press conference that gave off that impression of offline capability before a subsequent interview by Todd with Geoff Keighley confirmed no offline. The tweet by Hines confirms it.

I've been watching through this and at 12:46 he says the game is "entirely online." And yeah, he says at 13:06 he does say you can play solo.
I don't know how they'll handle it but if they support like they say they will, they'll figure it out. They can make it where servers are like PUBG where if you're solo, everyone else is too. If you're in a 3 man group, so is everyone else on that server.
I just don't get why everyone on Radposting went up in arms about how it's always online despite Bethesda never saying it was offline (and the biggest attraction of this entry is definitely the online aspect of it). Around 23:00 he says the servers will be dedicated "now and for years to come." But that probably depends on how much of the cosmetics and potentially the Creation Club content sells.

I recently heard a group of fans was building a legal case of false advertisement against Bethesda. Not sure if its true, but considering the back and forth contradiction of their marketing material I sure can understand it.

Hell if I had the time and money I'd make my own Fallout game with Blackjack and Hookers. I wouldn't even bother trying to disguise it as an original IP, straight up make a Fallout game while giving the finger to Bethesda then release it for free online for everyone to play.

That actually sounds like a sweet revenge for the fall of the series.

I have heard from people that everybody thinks we're toxic even most of the admins do think it.

So should we just try to enjoy modern Fallout and stop resisting change against it?

Why do you keep using we? We are a diverse group on the subject of Fallout. You're assuming we're some kind of...unity?

Oxhorn thinks the fallout 4 haters are all toxic and should be deleted from our lives , I think NMA are just fallout fans who love fallout , oxhorn is a fanboy ,
Christ , I came to fallout because of fallout 3 and new Vegas and I love fallout 1-2

Oxhorn just glosses over the lore changes , while true fans know ghouls need to eat and Myron created jet.

I don't even know why these toxic f***ers are here creating these stupid-ass threads. IF YOU HATE NMA, WHY ARE YOU HERE?

Jesus. Get out. We don't need you. Go back and play your stupid Fallout 64 or some shit.

A lot of fans seem to love him. I think I tried watching his videos and from what I saw was a really decent dude who just really likes Fallout. That's fine with me but if he thinks it's toxic to dislike a game, that's silly. I don't like nearly any Fallout content creators the average gamer can name to me. I'd like to find some though.
Fallout 3 piqued my interest into this series, New Vegas pulled me in even harder. I kept meaning to play 1 and 2 for a long time but then 4 came out around and I for whatever reason thought it would be better than 3. I was disappointed. I went back beat the first games, now I'm doing a new run in 1 again.
I don't hate 3 like most people do but on my rating scale it's nearer average ratings for games while 1, 2, and NV I've given a 9+/10 easily. To me, 3 tried to make the series mainstream while keeping true to the older games but just fell flat on it and that's something you can't really say for Fallout 4.

It's interesting to me that Humble is selling the Bethesda F-games & and New Vegas; all on sale.
*New Vegas is the very least discounted, while FO4 is the most.

I think Humble does discounts like these based on the games' ratings on Steam. If a game has a better rating, they get less discounted (because people would be more interested in buying a good game), if a game has a lesser rating, the game gets a bigger discount (because people need a bigger incentive to buy the game).

Just checked the bundle. It is kinda weird, Old World Blues is more expensive than Lonesome Road.

If going by rating shouldn't Fallout 4 be more cheap? :P
Season pass is still 30 Euros though so buying it and Fallout 4 still costs almost as much as a new game.

I remember when Bethesda sold GOTY or Complete w/ DLC editions of games that were over 7 years old for like 5 bucks on Steam. Now the base games go to 5 bucks on sale.

I got Oblivion GOTY Deluxe for like 5.50 or something years ago. Fallout 3 GOTY is 12 bucks.

Very few of the Bethestards I've met have even tried the original games, and even fewer - if any - have played through them. I can say that I have played their favorites, including Fallout 4... It is most depressing Fallout game I have ever played - for reasons that a Bethestard with its Intelligence of 1 can't comprehend.

I can't understand their stupidity, just like they can't understand anything about games they haven't even played. I'm glad I play real RPGs.

Oops, that was toxic! I will sing you an apology, dear Bethestards:

I'm sorry Bethestards (oooh)
I am for real
Never meant to make your Toddler cry
I will buy Skyrim a trillion times

I haven't checked the prices, but I would think that FNV is already cheaper by default, while Fo4 is still at full price. Therefore FNV gets less discount than the other games.

It's because most consumers do not look at the prices, they look at how much % a price gets reduced.

So if someone looks at the ads and see Fallout 4 50% off and FNV 40% off, they go "Fallout 4 has a nice reduction of price. I guess I should buy that game now, while it's at half price".

So should we just try to enjoy modern Fallout and stop resisting change against it?

Nope.
You see to me it's more about the new Fallouts not being written like Fallout games.
When I think Fallout I think moral ambiguity, black humor, witty references to global politics, the media, the nature of video games etc.
Fallout 3 didn't understand that, and it failed on a basic level (even though people love it for some fucking reason).
New Vegas understood that perfectly and managed to be the only modern Fallout I can tolerate. In fact, it did some stuff better than the original games.
By the time Fallout 4 came out the IP was as good as dead. Bethesda began marketing it as Borderlands but less wacky. The fact that Fallout 76 will probably feature no NPCs, no questlines and no choices at all is the final nail.
Fallout is now being used by Bethesda as a market tool and nothing else.
So no, I don't think I should like this shit.
