No, not that I have seen. He is really good at his job though; crippling products down the the least common denominator ~for optimized marketability. One cannot deny the man's market results... no matter how insulting and [IP] damaging they are. They are calculated to sell.

Our best bet is to generate a meme with him and Mr. yuck merged together and use that sticker on all crap games in the future.
I did that last year some time; but Mr.Yuck ~was Pete Hines.

Not much of a meme though.

He is?
Did he sleep with your wife? Set your cat on fire? ...
No, i don't like or dislike people based on if they were nice to me or not. I've seen him talk about his games and he seemed like a smartass yuppie television salesman, lying about specific features in them and treating his potential customers like they were village idiots. He looks nothing like an artist and everything like a company's employee of the year, which i resent.
He helps me put a face to all the stupidity of bethesda's fallout, most of all, which is why i came out so negative but also why i said " i don't know ( if he's good ) but he's a fucking asshole " . In all honesty he's probably a clever person and not a bad game designer, but he represents everything i dislike about the gaming world.

Take josh sawyer on the other hand. He looks cool and down to earth and speaks about his games with honesty and care. He wasn't nice to my cat or anything, but i'd say he's a nice guy.

Just as a reminder, you're posting in 'NMA' ;). I don't think that there is a really high risk of runing into a lot of Todd fans here.

The point is, as much as I 'disslike' the guy as well, this community has the habbit of getting sometimes a wee bit to personal for my taste. See, we all love Fallout, I guess everyone here does, but at the end of the day it is a game, and we're talking about a game developer and not some Nestle execute that fucked over some african village for clean water or some mofo like Kim Jong Un or Gadafi. I think people sometimes forget that.

bit too personal
I think that sometimes as well.

But then I realise that these are wealthy dudes working for one of the biggest games companies in the world and have won tons of awards, and they aren't too likely to give a shit what ~100 dickheads online say about them.

Fair point. I do tend to get personal over films, books and games like they were politics. I'm not sure but i think you're right, maybe i should stop doing that.

Sarcastic good guy has a point too though. They are wealthy dudes making profit out of games we love. Maybe we should be personal, after all we're not harming anybody and if it gets the message across why not?

By insulting people we don't know? Is that the kind of message we WANT to send out? To people that won't listen to it anyway and fans that think we are outdated and hatefull shit heads.

I just think this community is better than that. That's all I am saying. Hell do I care if you or anyone 'insults' Todd Blowhard. But that's not what I am saying. There is simply a line where it becomes irrational, I wasn''t necessarily talking about you here mate :). It's more about some 'special' individuals that really haven othing better to do but throwing vitriol around at a company that is making video games, and not chemical weapons. Strange enough, those guys are often not regular posters here and usually never engage on NMA anyway. There are Bethesda fanatics and there are Bethesda haters and generally, I am not very fond of either of them - criticism or a healthy dose of repulsion against todays Bethesda, is of course absolutely welcome here :D. But I won't forget that I also greatly enjoyed Morrowind in the past. So there is that.

NMA is not a safe space for Bethesda haters, is all I am saying.

Quite frankly, so long as it stays on the forum and doesn't get into personal levels (like doxxing and death threats to the dude's family), call him a shit head to your heart's content (make no mistake I do agree with you Cnri).

The devs don't bother interacting with any community associated with the Fallout IP. They don't even post on their own forums outside of a middleman (GStaff). I'd say it's safe to say that they don't even visit these forums (maybe on days they announce a new Fallout just to see how many jimmy's they rustle).

Anyways, I think Todd's an incompetent director. @Gizmojunk might disagree since he can move units like no other, but I would say that's more of an attribute to good marketing which Pete and Co. have on lockdown. Somebody on this forum described Todd as a Yes-man who has ideas pitched to him and goes, "sounds cool let's get it into the game." I think that's probably the most apt character-study of Todd out there.
