That's about right, right? I had a Russian girlfriend, who taught me to curse in Russian. I sincerely think that it's absolutely necessary to learn how to CURSE before you learn how to SPEAK in a foreign language. But that's just my humble opinion. :D

Alec and I are Belgistanis. Ofc we like belgian beers...

And you do know Leffe is just mass produced mediocre beer for Belgium, right? (same for Duvel, though in slightly lower quantities)
Sure it aint bad, but it's not nearly as good as our best.

Well surprise me, what IS your best? I might come over and buy some, if you say it's better then Leffe.
 
WestVleteren is by reputation the best belgistani beer, but the problem there, is that you actually have to make an appointment with the monks before you can come buy some. a rather big pain in the ass.

I'd say Tripel Karmeliet and Blue Chimay (that is blue labeled Chimay, not a blue beer) easily rate higher than Leffe. Though be warned, you have to be an experienced beer drinker for Chimay.
Most Trappist and Tripels are better than Leffe, you know.
Once you get past those, also try stuff like La Chouffe, Gouden Carolus,... Many of these taste vastly different, and i'm sure there's some stuff I don't particularly like, but that you might love. Orval for instance is a liked beer here, but I don't really like it.

You also shouldn't pass up on Duvel and Delirium Tremens if you're into Golden Ales.

Stay the FUCK away from kriek and such...

one of my favorite beers.

i agree as well, that you must understand what you are getting into. the very first time i purchased one of the larger bottles my girlfriend came home from work a few hours after i had uncorked it to find me laying upside down on the couch with a bag of chips and plastic tub of sour cream on my chest, entirely passed out.
