Ken St Andre lets us know on twitter he's joined the Wasteland 2 team. Brian Fargo confirms.
And in more news, I have joined @BrianFargo's Wasteland team to make a new version of the first post-apocalypse crpg.
That means all of the core team of 1988's Wasteland (St Andre, Fargo, Michael Stackpole and Alan Pavlish) is now working on Wasteland 2.

Holy shitballs this is amazing. I'm going to enter a deep depression if this team can't get the funds they need.

It makes me think of one of those movies about an old boxer coming back for one more fight.
It's quite frightening because now i have the feelling that a good, even a very good Wasteland 2 would not be enough, he must be exceptional (and with a strong old school base of course).
If they fail i fear it will sign the end of any hope for future medium/big budget old school RPG.
It's gonna be a new beginning or a last fight.
You better have to score a nasty critical hit inXile, with the team you have now i'm sure you have the better criticals/sniper perks.... but no save/reload on this one...

They'd better not mess with the new game now. I really hope they understand how much hope is put into them from now on.

Anyway, I'm in.

It feels almost like an old band coming together for a reunion.
and that exactly worries me. because things like that always ends in defeat...

Plenty of bands have gotten back together and made magic. No wait, you're right! Fargo should just sell the IP to Bethesda.
I kill me, anyway this is good news, but good news is bad, since nothing is ever good.

They'll need "nap time" about 3.00 in the afternoon. Warm milk and cookies as well please. How old are these dudes? - old enough to recognize good shit when they see it. It will be very interesting to see how this project pans out, even if it wasn't 'Wasteland', but as an exercise in itself.

And once in a while telling them where they are when they panic when they do not recognize their surroundings, what they are doing, and of course reminding them again who they are.

Well, I guess they could always bring back a few other people like Bill Dugan or Liz Danforth, but the principal members of the team are now on board.

Update: Looks like Brian did ask Liz Danforth to come on board, but she's still considering it.

Cool story bro.

The team could need an infusion of talent with a bit more recent experience. And preferably not experience working on Hunted: The Demon's Forge.
