Kentucky Fried Chicken

If you want to be a vegetarian especially for ethical reasons or just eat less meat in general then the meat you should quit eating first is chicken.

Why? Because out of all the industrially produced meat animals chickens suffer the most.

There was a documentary on Netflix called Meat Inc. about the meat industry. It was an eye-opener for sure. Not sure if it's still on Netflix.

I think I saw that one too. Didn’t make me stop eating meat, but it did make me sick. Eh.

The closest KFC to me closed a long time ago. Toward the end, it shared the same building with an A&W. So the only chicken joints are Royal Farms (a regional convenience store chain in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey), Popeye's, and a bunch of locally owned places. RoFo's chicken is comparable to KFC so if you're anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic states, I'd recommend it.

I don't count Chick-fil-A because I don't support homophobic and transphobic businesses who hide bigotry behind "muh religious beliefs". I've got friends, family, and colleagues who are LBGTQ, and I myself am a closeted trans lesbian (my family doesn't know yet). I won't support Chick-fil-A and its bigoted edgelords like that.

I should visit the GD forum more often. This was a great discussion.

I agree with Squadfam. Typically, all fast food chains are garbage. But some places offer gourmet level fast food. It's rare. The quality is controlled by the franchise owner, the managers, and the team. There was a McDonalds in Maine that was awesome. I know of a Taco Bell in Jersey that cooks excellent food. They just had people that gave a fuck about their service and it showed.
As for KFC, I knew a guy that had three heart attacks, and each one was after eating extra crispy. So, ya know, there's that.
