Kentucky Fried Chicken

Never had any. There was one in England. Didn't go. Maybe one day I will start eating overly processed free market capitalist food. :-D

The chicken itself good enough. Inferior to popeyes but not bad by any stretch. The sides are not much to write home about besides the corn on the cob though and the deserts are terrible. Prices are fair when there are sales/promotions.

No, it’s not healthy, but its fast food, so what did you expect?

I like KFC just fine but it's wildly expensive. Also the KFC in my area is absolutely disgusting. Tables ain't been cleaned, the floors are sticky, there's just this general vube if greasy-ness. They're opening a Popeyes like 50 feet from my house so assuming Popeyes Chicken is as good as I've heard I won't be going to KFC anymore

Popeyes is better, as well as Bojangles. Bojangles is probably my favorite of the two. In comparison KFC makes me sad.

I hear KFC was properly the best once upon a time. Though according to granddad it's gone downhill significantly.

Babe what kind of crack are you smoking? Popeyes up here is as gross as you all seem to think KFC is
Popeyes isn't covered in grease. If fried chicken isn't crispy it's made wrong, and KFC's is not. You know when you pick up a piece of chicken and it's just a soggy, greasy mess on the bottom? Yeah, that's every piece of KFC original recipe ever.

Ok, but how is Popeye’s any better? Maybe it’s not greasy, but it’s still subpar fried chicken. We don’t have Bojangles up here though. What’s that like?

Popeyes spices are better and the color just looks more appetizing. What is up with the color of KFC's chcken? It looks overcooked. Bojangles is not as crispy but it makes up for it with the flavor and juiciness.

Of course I always get the spicy stuff at Popeyes, but never will I think KFC is even remotely good.

@Black Rose maybe that’s the problem. I went straight fried chicken last time I went to Popeye’s and it was just... bland. Ironically, the spicy shit is what I like at KFC; the Nashville Hot Chicken is spicy enough that the grease is nonexistent and even were it there it wouldn’t matter.

You guys know that local restaurants might have similar foods and even "the same" food as another when in the same chain but the quality of it can be very different?
I have a friend who says their Moe's always has stale or just bland tasting food but their Chipotle is wonderful. He lives like 6 states away but the inverse is true for around here. Chipotle's food is always just gross or stale while Moe's is usually fresh and delicious.

Sure, it's generally the same food but it's not entirely the same. A bit of care with food prep can go a long way.

It's been ages since I had KFC. Never really cared for it, either. It's a bit less common around here than, dunno, Burger King and McDonald's. This is our fried chicken of choice:

We have mutant chickens in the United States.

This like this make me rather be a vegetarian honestly.
