Lonesome Road coming September 20th + weapon pack DLCs

WorstUsernameEver

But best title ever!
We have waited quite a while for this announcement, but it appears Bethesda finally announced the release date for Lonesome Road on their blog: September 20th. There's apparently more though, as some of the "other interesting FNV-related items" promised by senior producer Jason Bergman have been announced, and they consist of two item packs DLC: Courier's Stash, which essentially includes all the pre-order DLC packs, and Gun Runners’ Arsenal, which adds more weapons and mods to the Mojave Wasteland, coming September 27th for $/€ 1.99/3.99 respectively. Here's the PR:
The Courier’s journey ends this September.

We’re excited to share that Lonesome Road, the fourth add-on pack for Fallout: New Vegas, will be available for download on Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network and Steam on September 20th.

In Lonesome Road you are contacted by the original Courier Six, a man by the name of Ulysses who refused to deliver the Platinum Chip at the start of Fallout: New Vegas. Ulysses promises the answer as to why he didn’t take the job, but only if you make one last journey into the hurricane-swept canyons of the Divide, a landscape torn apart by earthquakes and violent storms. It’s up to you whether you take the job or not.

But wait! There’s more!!

Today we’re also announcing two additional DLC packs, Courier’s Stash and Gun Runners’ Arsenal, which will be available for download one week later on September 27th.

Courier’s Stash (Xbox LIVE for 160 Microsoft points, PlayStation Network and Steam for $1.99) gives players immediate access to four content bundles previously available only through pre-ordering Fallout: New Vegas. The Caravan Pack, Classic Pack, Mercenary Pack and Tribal Pack each offer unique weapons, apparel and aid advantages that will help you throughout your journey.

Gun Runners’ Arsenal (Xbox LIVE for 320 Microsoft points, PlayStation Network and Steam for $3.99) increases the range of unique weapons, weapon mods, ammo types and recipes waiting to be uncovered in the vast Mojave Wasteland. Check out a sampling in the screenshots below…
And finally, here's some more Lonesome Road and Gun Runner's Arsenal official screenshots:

Update: Josh Sawyer gives more details on the Gun Runner's Arsenal DLC on the Something Awful forums:
GRA introduces 27 new weapons, plus new ammo subtypes, plus mods, plus challenges and achievements. This is not a "lovely item pack".
Update 2: The item pack achievements are available for viewing on Steam.
Up to the Challenge Completed any three Gun Runners' Arsenal (GRA) one star (*) Challenges.

Master of the Arsenal Caused 10,000 damage with Gun Runners' Arsenal (GRA) Weapons.

Combat Veteran Completed any three Gun Runners' Arsenal (GRA) two star (**) Challenges.

Pros Only Completed any three Gun Runners' Arsenal (GRA) three star (***) Challenges.

Curios and Relics Caused 10,000 damage with unique Mojave Wasteland weapons.
Thanks, K SWE and VRaptor117.

Bozar, anyone?

Guess we now know why J.E. Sawyer had a bozar in his avatar and said that we hadn't seen the best Gun Runner designs just yet.

Today we’re also announcing two additional DLC packs, Courier’s Stash and Gun Runners’ Arsenal, which will be available for download one week later on September 27th.

Truely, this is what the world needed. More guns, for a game with already hundreds of guns.

More content for a game which already has content, why would anyone want that?

Durr.

The screenshot is giving me chills. God, this DLC is going to be sweet.

As for the additional content packs, they reek of some exec saying"Ok, we're shutting this thing down, what can we do to sell some stuff that was/should be released for free?" Seriously, everyone should just get the preorder stuff at this point and if you've bought all the DLCs at release prices, they should just give you the Gun Runner one. I bet the weapons are OP as hell, too.

What "content" is a gun? You can shoot shit with it.. oh.
A proper expansion/DLC on the other hand atleast gives me something new to experience other than pulling the trigger of a different modelled gun.

If the game was relatively sparse on machinery to kill stuff, I'd understand your comment, but here? Dude, really?

More guns is OK, paying $4 for it is not. Even if it's like 20 new unique weapons, that doesn't cover it. I mean, it's just $6 less than an actual DLC.

Finally horse armor grade DLC for FNV.

Those gun packs should really be free as a way of saying "thanks" to paying customers. Of course this isn't the 90's (or even the 00's) so of course giving away free content is out of the question.

Never forget that we have Bethesda to "thank" for the term known as DLC, and the concept that every single addon for a game should be a profit maker.

Updated the news with details on the item pack from Sawyer. Can't help but still feel that $4 is far too much for what is essentially an item pack, but then again, guess they want to milk everything out of the title before Skyrim comes out.

Saw worse already.

Will not buy the Courier’s Stash stuff, though, as I found the pre-order packs to be highly game breaking already each on it's own.

27 weapons and associated ammo types and mods is reasonable for 4$ I say, far better than, say, the Bioware item packs which are the same price for 3 or 4 items maximum, or Horse Armor. As for Lonesome Roads, finally. And it seems that, when they said rockets in the Acheivements, they meant it. Ulysses wants to bomb the Mojave or what? Will he pull a Victor Presper?

I'm not sure wether to love or hate Courier's stash. On one hand, it gives me access to all the pre order packs. On the other hand, it takes away the uniqueness of my classic pack.
Also,

it's up to you wether to take the job or not.
If you decide not to....uhhh....thanks for the money, I guess.

Lots of official screenies, and I really don't know what to make of the Lonesome Road ones.

Thanks for the new ones, I missed them out! Could it be that one of the LR ones is missing? One is titled "#5" but I only see 4..

Also, the new trogg reskin, eh I mean creature looks like some monster from Dungeons and Dragons. :D Wonder what that is.

They go from #2 to #5 because the #1 was the "High Road" one Bethesda released when they said LR was delayed. :)

a scaly reptile man with glowing horns... what appears to be a friggin lightning gun... and glow in the dark Ulyesses praying to the bomb.

this is really shaping up to be a letdown.

The weapon packs are meh. The bozar looks kind of pitiful in that screeny and it's probably the only reason I'd want to buy that.

All told, I'd rather up the ROF on That Machine and made it sound like the f02 bozar burst and skip this shameless moneygrubbing shit entirely.

I would have prefered a sidequest pack, the guns will be fun for a couple of minutes of screwing around with them, well it's only 4 dollars, the Courier Stash is meh, and it's the cheapest one, no need to get upset over optional shit.
Also Ulysses praying to the bomb? he is just standing there, I don't see him on his knees, he could be talking about it to you or whatever. The mutant people were also on the divide in Van Buren.
