You don't need to take any screen shots during those random encounters. The last time the proto files got corrupted, just hovering the pointer over the critter caused the game to crash. I just wanted to see if that is when the crashes were occurring with you and, if so, on which critters.
OK, I hovered the mouse over a small rad scorpion and the game crashed out but when I encountered them in the Temple of Trials they didn't. I think the ones inside a random encounter cave didn't crash either; just the ones outside.
Should I copy all the rad scorpion prot files from the original into the folder (they are all numbers so it's not easy to tell the correct ones)? Does MegaMod modify them? I had already made sure that I copied MegaMod and the last patch in and made sure they were all read-only.

Jennings Farm.
It's well written area. The NPC's quickly loot after the battle and keep their faces towards you so you can't easily use Steal skill unless successful hiding. The kids say interesting things and the NPC's are busy doing their farming chores. The barn looks very realistic and there seems to be enough rooms for everyone. I only ran into two minor issues here.
1) During the conversation with the patriarch you need to claim you never heard of the Glow (1st choice, 2nd choice is where you brag you pissed into the Glow which irritates him), but in the Temple of Trial riddles, one of the correct answers is that the Vault Dweller Ancestor went to the Glow, so you know about the Glow. Jenning's Farm must be written for the original script.
2) In the gun battle, one of the sons gets shot and then runs right into Metzger's gang and get's slaughtered instead of running away into the safety of the farm. Is that intentional? His wife comes out and sobs over his body (well written area). If he stands his ground or runs into the farm, he'd get shot and killed anyway cause the gang leader seems to have a scoped rifle.
It would be cool if the farmer's daughters would sleep with a sexy male character, as the old joke goes about the farmer's daughter. I looked at her dialog file and there's no interactives, just over-the-head phrases. Guess that's a bit much work on such an old game unless FO4 has brought a bunch of new interest.
