You probably forgot to renumber the .frms used to represent Kaga in one of the Kaga random encounters, as a result, Kaga just ambushed me having been mutated into the form of a flying wasp. LOL!
Maybe he just has powerful magic!
Thanks. (And it has now been corrected.)
Oh, and regarding that broken ladder, I still don't know what the problem is. I have redone elements of the script, but that doesn't seem to work. And the mapper shows the item as being usable. Maybe I will just set it so that you are automatically transported when you use the rope, therefore eliminating the need to 'use' the ladder...
Edit: Well, that works. Or, at least it will work once. Right now it is set to go directly to the basement location. Once you climb out, you still can't use it, and it keeps giving the message that you can climb down the rope. However, after the player has visited this location once, there really is no need to return to it, so I might just keep it like this.
Hi, I've found few bugs in EPA :
A car disappear ,when i enter EPA area!!!
On the level 1 my character die instantly in wasps location ,even when he/she has gas mask. There is also a desk in south corner - it can't be searched, I always got a message "you can't get there" regardless distance.Another thing is walking on the rocks just look
On level with security wing it is possible to pass througt wall(close to computer empowering electric chair).
I also have a problem with door code. How to find it?
Wrong thread. These are issues that belong over in the thread regarding the EPA project. I think all of these issues were already brought up over there, though, and Chris Parks is working on them.
Hi, i think you might need to recheck the nhmyron.int script again,
I played through to the part where i found Myron, and found out the script had the same problem as the one in update 4: I decompiled it and found that it was the same typo that's causing the problem.
I think you might need to confirm you include the correct script for your next mini or non-mini update, but a personal request, could you send me the corrected nhmyron.int? The one with the typo i had mentioned awhile back corrected. I can't seem to successfully recompile it after decompiling and making changes. I always get this:
TEMP.I(254): Error! Undefined symbol op_party_member_obj
FSE info --> Compiler reports unknown command or character.
"Please check whenever you have mistyped function or procedure name or not declared all variables."
I use FSE by Jargo.
Edit: Just to make it a little clearer i'm talking about the problem with the dialogue loop when you ask myron to teach you about making stimpacks.
Well, search option isn't the best ,so missed that thread.Sorry for trouble.Next time, i'll think twice before posting.
It's no bother, Smok.
And to WilsonC: I did fix it the nhmyron file. However, I found that I left the file in my working folder instead of moving it to the right place. It will be in the next update, which hopefully will include an updated EPA and some Black Steel stuff.
Everytime I try to marry devin or maria the game goes to a blank screen and stays there. Tried reinstalling game and added mods to fresh install.
Still does it.
I tried it out...got the same result. I haven't touched those scripts since update 4, and they were working perfectly then. Not sure what is going on, but I will look into this.
Edit: Alright. I know that the error is somewhere in Grisham's script. When I reverted to an earlier version, it worked fine. So, it means I messed something up while incorporating something from Killap's fixes for him. For now, until I fix this and send out another update, just use the mcgrisha.int file from update 3 or 4.
Hi MIB88, this mod sounds awesome, when do you plan to release the next update?
Not sure yet. I am still playing through Black Steel looking for things to incorporate. I am mostly done with adding in the Tactics critters that were used in the XP mod. I should be finished with that and begin playtesting by the end of the week. Another thing to consider is the EPA mod. Chris Parks is probably close to releasing an update of his mod. I might wait for that release before I release anything else...maybe.
Just curious, not considering the inclusion of a new update of the EPA, will your next update most probably be playable with saved games in the current update or no?
I don't know yet. Not until I try it out. My guess is that it will, since I am not making any grand changes, just changing the random encounters and including some relatively minor fixes.
OK i'm back....so wot did i miss
Update 4 and 5, EPA and total awesomeness of this mod.
Nice...couple of days to get upto speed then we'll be off to the races.
Saving in or exiting from the EPA warehouse map(using the exit grid) in your mod causes my game to crash: Im pretty sure its either an isolated case on my PC or a problem only in your mod because i don't find any mention of this in the official EPA mod. Just another friendly alert from me
Don't know what could be the cause of that, since when I reordered everything, I didn't even have to change the EPA maps or where the exit grids went to. I'll check it out, though.
On another note, Chris Parks has informed me as to the extent of the changes in his updated EPA...and it is a lot. It is possible that earlier games will not work. Now, of course to get the full benefits of anything he has created in this mod you will have to use a game before you entered the EPA. But, there are some changes that will invalidate a saved game no matter what point in the game you are at (even if you are the very beginning in the temple). Just thought you all might like to know.
So, if there are people who have read this and haven't used this mod, you might as well wait a couple of more weeks when the new version comes out, just in case. For everyone else, we'll just have to test it out.
Just to elaborate more on the problem with the EPA Warehouse map, after entering the EPA map, either leaving using the exit grid, attempting to save, or even exiting the game, causes Fallout 2 to crash with a Application Error.
