some other bugs(?)

the bozar doesnt work as it does normally when i am(or my party member are) in (advanced) power armor, it works the old way(burst only) while i can target and normal shoot when i have other armors on. also, is bunker 23 supposed to be finished? i cant seem to find anyone at the lab when im instructed to go there
 
Just got something new to add to the Megamod yesterday. It is gonna delay uploading 2.0 by 2-3 days, but I think it is definitely worth it. Chris Parks sent me something that I always wanted to see in Fallout 2, and I know others had also discussed it before. I am not gonna say exactly what it is here, but I will leave a hint on how to find it in the readme file. :twisted:

And to elotrocoso: what exactly do you mean by the bozar does not work? And as for Bunker 21, there are no secrets there. What you see is what you get. It is just a location that Lich created. Whether it is finished or not, is a question for him to answer.

I only tried using 4 of them: the two giant cockroaches, the sewer rat, and the gila lizard. The cockroaches and the lizard work fine, and are in 2.0, but I never could get the rat to work right.

Being able to actually fight giant cockroaches in FO2 WILL be really something!

Hello, I have a strange problem with my favorite game. When I travel from Klamath to Den screen go black for a 2-3 seconds I see my main hero and NPC on black map screen, then it back to normal world map and I see windows error message "Fallout2: Error, Can't load xxx(some file name) item", game quit to my win98. I try to run it, load game and I have on world map message about Skanga and his trap and the same "black screen and NPC" effect. I have fallout2UK1.02, MegaMod4, 5 and 6. Maybe I don't have some files required for Skanga encounter? (or I have to download all megamod parts again)

There was an error I was having like this because I messed something up on the worldmap. It was looking for an encounter that was botched. But I thought I had that corrected in update 6, although I know I have it corrected in 2.0. Or it could be that there is some other difference between the US and UK versions causing this. At this point, anyway, might as well wait for the next release. I am checking through a few last minute things, but I should have it uploaded to this site before the weekend is finished.

Edit: Also, a bit of good news about NPC levels. I am not having those weird 103/78 hit points and the like anymore. And while I may have found a fix for it, I don't know if it is a permanent fix or even what is causing the problem. I have been finding that the game has been creating all sorts of extra proto files in the critter folder. I just put the entire proto folder to read only. Those files aren't created anymore. The game still seems to be working fine, and like I said, NPCs appear to be leveling and displaying hit points correctly. I will keep testing at higher NPC levels to ensure this remains true.
 
OK, I made a copy of my save files. I will try to overwrite MegaMod again. I also have both Uk and Us version of my fallout, if it won't help I will reinstall game.

Sounds like monday is going to be an hardcore gaming day to me.

You know it's gonna take a few days before the moderators clear it. So, hopefully, they will have it released a few days after I upload it. Maybe Wednesday or Thursday might be a hardcore gaming day! :)

And to Zigzag, before you do all the downloading/reinstalling, what I was saying is to just wait a few days. The next release will be out soon, and it will just render all previous versions obsolete anyway.
 
I have school on wed, thurs and fri, so i might get into it on saturday then. It's going to be like re-discovering the game again now with the new quests and maps.

It's great that this mod arranges all valuable mods together making so much easier to know what's been done and what is still possible to develop.
 
I can't wait and I don't want to wait. Yesterday I reinstall my f2 but it didn't help. I'm thinking about delete Skanga scripts from data folder (turn off all Skanga Ambrush on map). What are the names of his scripts?

I can't help you then. There is no Skanga in the US version. He is called Kaga. Simply deleting the critter's scripts is not going to fix this. Turning off the kaga encounters is possible, but would require modifying the worldmap. This would take much more time to change and is not really worth it for me to even go into.
 
Strange problem:
1) Stand behind a steeling kid in Den and burst on the next kid in line (through the first one). Instead of any animation you will see that first kid has been killed (maby next one too) but he will be standing as nothing happened. (Although he will be dead).
Is that because here's no animation for the kid as for adult when he dies from burst?
 
A bit offtopic but it's something i would like to see in those BOS houses in FO2: was the tactics power armor already taken to any mod? Or is it impossible to do?

Would be a great add as the horrigan armor isn't 100% functional :(
