Microsoft has bought Zenimax/Bethesda

Sonic 06 had banging music and if you think it was shit you have objectively shit taste in music.

If you enjoy Bethesda games or purchase anything owned by Microsoft you are objectively a shit person and deserve what you have coming.

It's bad games

To be honest, if you enjoy anything other than Fallout 1 or 2 you're objectively a shit person.

Damn, thanks!
Will have to check some of these out as I only have Disco Elysium and Undertale at the moment.

My recommendations from that list:

If you like Metroidvania games, check out "Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night".
If you like 1st person, open world, action, medieval games, check "Kingdom Come Deliverance".
If you like isometric, cyberpunk with some fantasy and turn based combat, check the "Shadowrun" games.
If you're into a more story heavy, tons of text and choice and consequences, check out the "Banner Saga" games and the "Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind".
If you're into jRPGs and beautiful anime videos with nice fantasy story (like studio Ghibli style movies) check out "Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch Remastered".
If you're into isometric action RPGs (like good old Diablo), check out Grim Dawn.
If you like tactical, medieval, historic-lite, isometric RPGs, check out Expeditions: Viking.
If you like classic Fallout games, try ATOM RPG and the expansion Trudograd.
If you like action, beat'em up, RPGs, check out Yakuza 0 (or other Yakuza games, I guess).
If you like 3.5e or Pathfinder PnP games, or just love in-depth character making using those rules, try Pathfinder: Kingmaker.
If you like tactical, post apocalyptic games, try Wasteland 3 (wasteland 2 DC is ok-ish, but for me 3 is better).

I will stop now, since I ran out of time to be wasting it on forums again. :aiee:

Humanity has a whole has big communication problems. Yesterday someone on Reddit wrote the following things:
  • That classic Fallout was borderline unplayable.
  • That Bethesda made better RPGs because every build is viable.
But you can rephrase those comments to read like so:
  • That they didn't enjoy classic Fallout because they weren't used to those kinds of games.
  • That they prefer Bethesda's games because they are easier and the games are designed in a way that no matter which build you choose, the game will never become overly challenging.
As I said, communication. The opinions as they were originally posted are incendiary. But if I elaborate those opinions for them (which sounds patronizing, but whatever), they are far more reasonable. Imagine if I said chess was "borderline unplayable" because one can make some very stupid moves that can lead them to lose 30 seconds into the game.

The mere fact that you have to point these out to him shows that his statement "current gen sucks" is absolutely retarded with no basis on any reality. Made worse by even attempting to compare Oblivion of all things to the great games released recently.

Imagine not even playing some of the best games released recently and claiming that the whole generation sucks. Fucking hell.

Also add Hollow Knight to the Metroidvania suggestion.

It's like saying that current shooters are shit and nostalgically pointing back to MW2 as "better than the shit out now". Oblivion was part of the peak of mid-to-late 00s dreary lobotomized gameplay

Morgan has barely gotten out of high school so you have to forgive his bad opinion about the first RPG he played.

I dont have a lot of free time to play games like I used to. Also, my intuition regarding games by 10 seconds of gameplay footage and cover art have high acuracy for if something is good. I can walk in a store and know which games are shit. Dont need to play them.

Your intuition is then crap if you think Oblivion is any good. :smug:

Wait, if Oblivion is 100% bad then that means everything in the game is bad. Characters, weapons, even things in the environment. That would mean that even the design/appearance of things in Oblivion would be bad!

You're gonna have to fight me @Norzan to convince me the Knight of Order armor from Shivering Isles isn't cool looking. And I mean fight me out back. Let's settle this with fists.

Sometimes I forget this is a forum populated by people that love Bethesda RPG's. Feels bad man. The bad guys won. Long live the Zoomers.

Well, the good thing is that Bethesda is already a shite studio, so it's nothing Microsoft can ruin like they did with Bungie and so on.
