MS is so big that they can afford take losses in the short-term. Bethesda has been so bent-on making short-term gains and investing heavily in marketing, as opposed to nothing in writing and developing an updated engine, that this piece of news may ease their perceived incentives to maximize short-term gains. That's what I hope for, but then I hope for very little, and I'd rather support projects like Fallout Yesterday than being optimistic about the psychopaths running these companies.

Looking cool doesn't make up for those crystals spawning the enemies that use that armor set, making you having to kill i think three of them to collect a heart from each to close the crystal because the crystal keeps spawning them until you close it. And because those enemies are damage sponges due to the terrible level scaling, they are obnoxious.
Oblivion isn't 100% bad. My rant about those crystals reminds me that Shivering Isles is actually not terrible. If Oblivion had a much better combat system, had everything it cut from Morrowind, no awful level scaling, and the Shivering Isles's map was made bigger to have more content, i honestly wouldn't have much of an issue with that game. Shivering Isles feels like the last time they gave a shit, even if just a tiny bit. There, i said something positive about a post-Morrowind Bethesda game.
But yes, i'll meet you at the flagpole. We'll settle this with fists.

The quests are better than Skyrim at least but Skyrim is literally flash-game tier in quest structure so it is the absolute floor.

It was, I just think they tried to do more than tech at the time could handle, or went beyond their budget. Only the central island was in the game.

People like Atomic Putz want it littered with Dungeons every 3 yards because "muh exploratory experience" and are offended by the majestic flatness of the state. Fallout 3 on the other hand gave you the experience of walking up hills that have hills on the side of hills. not to mention getting jumped by leveled enemies constantly tolengthenENHANCE your journey experience between the the multitude of dungerinos.

Oh no this right around when Skyrim came out. I think Game of Thrones came out around the same time, so the within the first couple seasons of the show. this had to do with the person thinking Skyrim had better political Intrigue when compared to The Witcher 2; a game they have admitted to never playing. It was just one of those stupid things that burns an impression into your brain so whenever a Skyrim apologist shows up I remember this.
