Mods you already want for NV?

First time out of the vault
I can tell I'll be looking for or making a mod that swaps out the Ceasar's Legion gear for something a little more grounded than skirts and football helmets. Also would like a non-camo reskin of the camouflaged rifle. And I once again will be using a mod that makes super mutants less iridescent purple and green.

Does NMA have any other nerd niggles? Superficial or otherwise?

Super mutants are looking good, I will not touche them in any kind of way. Only thing needed for me (in the moment) is a interface mod, that makes font smaller and the dialog option window bigger.

Beside this, I'll guess I could port my combat shotgun mod, because by now I very much doubt that this gun will be in the game.

Ballistics and Ammunition mod.

I like realistic ballistics in my games and in games like this, rare ammo. How some games make content harder (Ie, More ammo, but enemies take a shitload of damage) really ruins gameplay for me.

I'd like conserving my ammo and thinking tactically, then firing on someone knowing 2 or 3 good hits will put them on the floor. Having to reload after 30 bullets and still having a mutant running at me at half health is shitty.

Of course, poor AI screws this somewhat, but a lot of games are adequate for that sort of gameplay.

Well, I think that way too Aphyosis that's why I'm going to take some damage modifier mod along with everything else, like in that FWE mod where you could have x3 damage or something like that. Really makes you waste no bullet since you can aim for the head and go 1 shot 1 kill. With raiders or general critters at least.
Supermutants were tougher.

A mod to take of that annoying yellow tint.
Hated it in Fallout 3 and probably will hate it in NV.

A mod that I would really like, and most likely wont get would be a switcher that would let me play the game like the other fallout games (1&2 or maybe even played like van buren)

Ace mod from fallout 3 with amplifies cripple effects to make crippling useful.

Combat tactics mod from fallout 3 which makes AI a hell of alot smarter and deadlier(Know we're going to have dumb ass hell AI in new vegas).
I like the ammo thing but I would prefer smarter AI that can actually kill me than to struggle for ammo any day.

Weather mods from fallout 3.

Explosives that can open doors.

Fallout 3 animated mod and the road warrior series mod.

The mod i'd like is a gilly suit mod where you cant e seen when your in a lot of grass for when you want to be stealthy.

I read "Dies the Fire" by S.M. Stirling in August. It presents a completely different post-apocalyptic universe that Fallout (in his all electricity and most explosives stopped working), but these was something that both should have and that's plausibility. Sure in Stirling's novel you could argue people seem to adapt too rapidly, that an army of craftsmen emerging within a year that make bows, swords, armor, etc...is too fast....but Fallout, mostly Fallout 3 can seem the complete opposite. It's been 200 freaking year. Figuring human generations take about 30 years, that's over 6 generations that have lived out there after the fall, yet most haven't done jack.

You point on the football helmets is right on. Peole have had generations to: 1. scrounge army supply bases for better armor and 2. actually start crafting new stuff that's far better than football helmet quality.

I'm glad to see some barbarism. People not respecting the inherent dignity of other humans. That's what would occur in a post-nuclear war. You would see a guy shoot another in the back just to take some better gear. But with that, you'd have far fewer suckers left living in the wasteland. All the bozos should be dead and looted. Fallout 1 and 2 had people clumped into protected communities. The guarded resources, shared skill sets, and were quick to screw rival communities. I buy that. Fallout 3 had a bunch of cartoon characters living in pockets of 5 to 10 people. No defense, no resources, and no skills.

My nerd giggles/rage?

Buying a RPG franchise written in a setting that I'm fascinated with (post-apocolyptic) and which has done a quality job of making a compelling print genera into playable video game form; then taking that franchise, removing all the serious logical function out (the part that make it so compelling to think about/role play in) of the franchise and replace it with stereotypic characters with no purpose/motivation to their lives, cheap B-movie costumes, and terrible questing options for the gamer....then due to having a giant world, exploding cities, a nuke launcher, and exploding heads - win multiple GOTY awards for setting the whole franchise and genera back a few orders of magnitude.

 Sorry, I totally didn't see this rant coming. I just had such hopes for FO3 and really don't want New Vegas to have so many holes as well.

I'd have to see what the weaker points to the game are before I decide what mods I need. For example, with Bethesda's take on the BoS, it sort of made more sense to me if they were all dressed in the power armour of the Adeptus Astartes.

At the moment this is one thing I'd like to mod too. Maybe I'll think of others when I'll play the game. :)

Any ideas on what would make a good replacement? Ideally I'd like them to keep the standardized and domesticated roman legionary look. I was thinking maybe black combat armor with dark red painted shoulders and the legio X insignia on the right chest or on the upper back plate. But that might render them OP- the regular NCR soldiers seem to wear some plain fatigues and no armor.

mods

I would like to see a damage multiplier or even do it myself as fast as possible because I don't like it when npc's can take 5 shoots to the head.

A weather mod that has some kind of desert storms that makes the visibility range very short and actually has a impact f.x. makes thirst go down faster or something.

A High res texture mod like the ones for F3.
Possible a more npc's, travellers and random encounter mod
crowded cities (NV seems a little empty from the videos I've seen)
and last but not least a dynamic economy.

BTW as soon as the FNV installation is done I'm gonna put the remastered fallout 2 soundtrack into the game for nostalgic. Yes you heard me I'm actually using precious gaming time to put in the soundtrack, that's how much it means to me! :)

I am going to install the Shojo race mod the second I know all of its components will work with NV.

The courier will be an adorable animesque girl, mark my words!
