More Lived In Freeside Mod

Part 1 of my More Lived In Wasteland series. More Lived In Freeside adds much needed visual flair in Freeside.
Lets face it, our first experience in Freeside was underwhelming at best. Freeside is still Vegas but it never felt like it was. Boarded up generic buildings, only one shop and one casino. The place was, well, blah! Well no more!
With the help of Prodlimen beautiful building resources from FNVJOD Freeside, Freeside will now look more like a city that is a part a place known as "The Jewel Of The Desert."
This mod adds:
4 Brand spanking new working casinos! 3 of them are also hotels where you can rent a room for the night.
A bakery that sells fresh baked goods.
A clothing and barber shop. You can buy some clothing and armor, get repairs and a hair cut.
A soda shoppe that sells, well, soda.
A diner for you to get get some food.
A butcher shop that sells different meats from the wasteland.
A strip bar and brothel.
2 apartments that Freeside locals and NCR squatters live in. (Always found it weird that there wasn't really a place that both locals and squatters took shelter in.)
A run down theater that some of the locals squat in.
And of course new NPC's with dialogue.

Background for this mod.
I had this mod made for my own personal use from over a year ago. I hated how generic Freeside was and wanted to change that. I hated that I was the only one who would get to have fun with the mod, so I got the courage to ask Prodlimen if it would be okay for me to release a mod that used his resources. Thankfully, he said yes and soon this mod will be for everyone to enjoy.
Right now I am finishing the last of the dialogue which shouldn't take me long. The mod was already play tested quite a bit and works fine. If I play my cards right, the mod should hopefully see a release date of late June to mid July. That would depend on how fast I will be able to hear back from voice actors. Waiting on voice actors is one of the hardest and longest parts. Thankfully its summer so hopefully I won't have to wait so long for voiced lines.

Oh, and to anyone wondering, yes I am still working on my other More Lived In Wasteland mod. That mod, as of right now, is ambitious. Between pages for dialogue, notes, holotapes and quests, I think I maybe looking at close to a hundred pages with the possibility of over a 1000 lines of voiced dialogue. I have no idea for what the release date for that would be only that I can safely tell you that the mod will see a release sometime in the future.

Wow, this was totally unexpected.

Some questions:

Which areas of Freeside are modified?
Do you plan to make a Freeside Open compatibility patch?
Are casinos fully working (gambling limit and high roller rewards)?

1. Both area's of Freeside. North Freeside will have 2 shops and the apartments and central Freeside will have the casinos, strip club and the soda shoppe and diner.
2. Yes! One of the main things I had in mind for this mod was that it would be Freeside Open compatible. There will be two versions. One that uses Freeside Open and one that doesn't. I also made sure that the mod didn't touch buildings that were used in mods that are popular on the Nexus. Like Someguys Bounties Series and ChuckSteel's NV Interiors mod.
3. Yes! All the casinos are fully working with slots, blackjack and roulette. They also give out prizes like the vanilla casinos if you reach a certain limit and also have a gambling limit.

Looks like my mod maybe a little bigger. I added one more casino, The Buena Vista, into the mod. It's the most luxurious of the casinos in the mod and has the highest payout when gambling, but not as much as the Ultra-Luxe. So that is a grand total of 5(!) brand spanking new casinos into the game. That should definitely make New Vegas feel more like the gambling capital of the wastes. I also added some chem dealers into the run down theater and apartment that the locals squat in. Outer Vegas has a major problem with addiction but I always found it weird that there was only one chem dealer in all of Outer Vegas. I have also added criers into the mod because I love torturing all of you. :V

Good stuff. Especially since similar mods are abandoned at this point. Kudos.

Thank you! I am almost done with the dialogue. Just a couple of more lines and I will add them to the game. Got to do some scripting for the criers but that should be easy and won't take me long. After that I will playtest the mod to make sure it is in working order. Hope to get that all done by the end of the week. Then it will be off to the most tedious and time consuming part of modding. Auditioning for voice actors and waiting on them to turn in their lines.

That voice acting part is what stopped me from getting too heavily involved in the FNV modding scene. If you don't have it, you can count on people asking for it incessantly.

Dialogue has all been implemented into the mod! Now for the hard part, getting voice actors and waiting for their lines.

I'll try. I'll post them both here and on the Nexus. Going to be busy with family and friends this weekend so I'll try to post something on Monday.

You could take things to the next level by adding some unmarked quests and maaaaaybe 1 sidequest. I feel like a few of those could go a long way in spicing things up.
