Umm maybe, never noticed because I didn't really like the Oblivion theme song. But yeah now I think about it...Did Bethesda reuse that theme song for Oblivion because they were lazy or because they wanted recognition?

Morrowind's theme song was great, though Skyrim basically just copied it.I'm pretty sure that Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim use the same theme just different style and instruments. Like a remix of the same song three different times. Also I think Skyrim reused some of the ambient music from Morrowind, it sounds strangely familiar but then again they reused all the Daggerfall and Morrowind books so there's that.
Since Morrowind they used a variation of the same theme, I think.Morrowind's theme song was great, though Skyrim basically just copied it.

Gotta say, I love the Daggerfall music as well. I still wistle the "Snowing" music whenever it's, well, snowing.
Sounds like a good premise for a Skyrim total conversion mod. Which doesn't use map markers at all. And implements missing skills from the previous Elder Scrolls games. And loses the voiced dialogue. Now if they kept it in Illiac Bay and made the game look and feel more unique... I'm up for that.

Wait.
Make it a Morrowind mod and I"m up for that shit.
Yeah, adding tons of the features in Daggerfell like banks and ships, if possible.Illiac Bay, yes.
You actually can. It's really easy, and there are examples of it in-game anyway. So it's doable and there's no need for hardwiring. Heck, you can make totally unique dialogue for each person, easy. The fact that it's text means you don't need voice actors. Also, I'm pretty sure it's possible to lose the whole topic based dialogue system in Morrowind. I've been messing about with the TES editor back in the day, and making some actual dialogue with choices and consequences isn't all that difficult.
Banks and ships have already been modded into the game ages ago, so that shouldn't be a problem either. I feel like this project could be done at some point. Sadly, about 99% of the modding community moved onto Skyrim.
EDIT: also, I've never played Daggerfall. Am I a pleb now?
Fav cover (and the channel is great)
Yeah, it's sad to keep losing originality and the identity of our beloved franchises just for sheer franchise milking.Yeah I've heard that one. Really love the Elder Scrolls series... well until Morrowind. After that...
I mean, who am I kidding...Yeah, it's sad to keep losing originality and the identity of our beloved franchises just for sheer franchise milking.
*Pats in consolation*I mean, who am I kidding...
Arena was generic as fuck. Daggerfall was a boring mess.
Morrowind is the only Elder Scrolls game I liked.
Yeah I know, and Daggerfall had some nice features but way too much randomly generated areas and boring fetch it quests.*Pats in consolation*
You know the fact that "Elder Scrolls" was just a cool subtitle for Arena, right?
