IIRC, human critters don't have unique, burn animation files, like:

HFCMBT(BURN).FRM
HFMAXX(BURN).FRM
HMETAL(BURN).FRM

The same file is shared between all instead, and there are three types of them:

- male/female,
- child,
- muttie.

It's logical since burn animations are looking the same.

Found it. I was incorrectly assuming that the muties used the same burning death animations as humans (which are located in the hero male jumpsuit frm's set), instead, they use their own burning death animations which are located among the death frm's of one of the super mutants. It confused me a bit because the animations are exactly the same as the human ones just slightly bigger (around 20% or so)... so it would be only a matter of overwriting the mutie frm's.

Anyway, nitpicky mystery solved, thanks for the clarification. If anyone cares for this stuff i'll upload the frm's later.
 
The mutant frms are really bigger? Wow, I never realized that.

The critter I built is basically the same, but I made my critter without any knowledge of this project, actually there is a difference between the two – their critter uses the Sulik body type with the Vault dweller body type – mine uses the initial PC tribal with the VD body (the heads are basically different), either way I don’t mind. These guys are building some great artwork…I wish there was an English version to the site because using Google translation really sucks. They have grabbed some of the artwork I made for the RP, so hopefully I will get some credit for that stuff, but ultimately it they build something worthy of the Fallout name I’m OK with it…

The Vault Boxer is almost complete – 5 animations left. :roll:

Neither did I.

Interestingly, while working on a new female vault suit npc re-colour i discovered something i had never noticed before as well; the NFVALT critter has no running animation...

(I guess the female jumpsuit Vault city citizens and enclave dwellers never run during combat?)

So i made one by editing the hero female one (removing the '13'):

Speaking of Vault dwellers – it’s one of my ambitions to give them all of the weapon animations (just remove the numbers on their backs), that way people can build new generic Vaults for their mods and use every possible weapon…also the blue suckers at Vault city and the Enclave should be able to pick up dropped weapons and use them. :twisted:

It'd be interesting to see a black/gray jumpsuit instead of the blue/yellow variety for the Enclave civilians :)
 
In Fallout Yurop, they had blue jumpsuit with white belt. This looked nice and fallouty.

Did you created the male counter parts of the gray vault suit?
They look quite good
 
Is this dark enough for Mr. Blackie…his skin color blends into the color of his pants (I would leave the lighter tones on the pants otherwise the skin and pants would merge completely, which could be problematic)…it will need to be tested in game. My proposal is this – someone finish the last of the Baldie critter animations and I will convert Baldie over to Mr. Blackie…

But as far as .Pixote.'s question goes - yeah, I think that's a pretty good skin tone for Mr. Black.
 
Blank female bluesuit would be an excellent addition to FOnline - it still uses the "13"

You mean if i intend to create the male counterpart? if so, then i don't know, i haven't thought about it. Really easy though, so maybe i will.

I see no problem with the skin and pants color relation, but the exposed skin parts on the side of the pants need to be re-colored as well.
