Yeah, in games or on some pictures everything is possible, even orcs, goblins, magic and dragons.

But hey! PA in FOT and VB has a normal size! How is this possible?! :roll:

Conclusion: everything depends from design decisions, not some motors, life support systems, or how the Space Marines are looking.

Nah, i wouldn't pick a gordon freeman/halo guy spandex-type PA over the big robot machine type of the original Fallout PA.

I've never played x-com, i've read it's really good and it's difficulty quite hard. I should give it a try one of these days.

Yeah, basically every suit which makes your character taller is extremely annyoing for me. Another matter is a design (or how ugly it's looking in-game) which made this armour not useable for me (well, maybe for bartering purposes only :P).

You must! ;) Midi-ish sounds, painted, few pixels graphics, turn-based combat... And yeah, game is hard, especially when you're playing first time... a lot of agents you'll lost... X-Com provides a lot of fun even these next-crap-ish days. It's located at the 2nd position on my the best games ever! list.

Anyway, your avatar looks somehow familiar... A reference to this nice guy maybe?

I don't like both. Although APA looks little a bit better, I think...

But again, I'm talking how they're looking in-game. I really like the close-ups on helmets (is this going to save me from death in fire, dear Inquisition? :D).

Of course it's bulkier in the game, but the creator still did a pretty damn good job.

Horrigan isn't taller because of the armour. He's is tall because he's not a normal human, he's an experiment (fallout.wikia.com):

Standing more than 12 feet tall, Horrigan is significantly taller and bulkier than a standard Super Mutant. His FEV mutation was further augmented with controlled injections of an experimental modified version of FEV developed by the Enclave, resulting in Horrigan being a "next-gen" Super Mutant... stronger, faster, tougher, and just plain meaner. Additionally, a special suit of power armor was cybernetically grafted onto his body, transforming him into a walking death machine without peer. Cybernetic elements include bionic eyes, arm control mechanisms and leg rotators.
