New animations 2

Finally! CA in correct colors!

Maybe it's time to make PA green or yellow? :ugly:

By the way, how much of ugly retarded work would cost doing this cool-ish shite?

(whoops! old green-ish goo)

I mean, arm borrowed from Leather Jacket, and no helmet.

but how to fu*** ...hell you recolored so fast, mr x'il

Hehe... ... I used a "pseudo-automated" approach (or somesuch), used PS. With the exception of some couple dozen or so frames here and there, the only set i had to do manually one frame at a time was the rocket launcher (because of the green colors on the weapon), and not even all of it's frames. It was fast, yes, but not that fast either, i think it took me about a month or so.

Once i clear out a bunch of critters i have pending, maybe i'll make leather mk2 armors (to which i have found the correct "trick" already  )

You don't like the green CA (besides not liking the power armors)?! Which original Fallout armors do you like, then? (you can't say you like the leather jacket, because you're Continuum, and everyone knows Continuum has zero tolerance for references) :P :D

Seriously now, how much work it would take to make that critter you posted depends, of course, on whether it would be for an npc or for the hero female. For an npc, easy, about a month or so, for the hero critter twice as much AND the male counterpart would need to be made as well...

One of the "possible" critters in my list is precisely a female npc in a "brown" combat armor with no helmet. But... not sure yet.

Combat Armour and Leather Jacket. Although I don't like pants (in all armours) since they're totally empty, I mean, there's no cool-ish details like belts, knife-holders, metal-ish plates, etc., which would exaggerate post-apoc nature of game. IIRC, FOT critters were more detailed.

Maybe lack of details is caused by few-pixels-crap on the screen? Or maybe design went that way? Dunno.

Well, there's a distinct difference between taking some, let's say design, from movie, where setting in consistent with game you want to place it, and things like fucking Star Trek, Mobsters, Jackie Chan, or Aliens.

So, there's nothing wrong with such reference. Also, you may put something just because you like it (and it's going to fit nicely), without ANY referencing in mind. Just like town on the rusty bridge (or highway) from Johnny Mnemonic I was talking about in other thread. I didn't want to put it, because I wanted to make movie reference, but just because I like this idea and it could fit nicely.

End of interrogation! :D

Sounds like eternity to me! :D

cool, then we can use thhis for mk II combat armor, and we defenely need a blue one, to replace the ugly ncr police critter.

ok, but the male version is defenely made by the script.

Mmm, nope, it was before i had the script, i guess I used a similar method that X'il but with gimp.

A blue male combat armor would be sweet indeed.

I don't really want to seach the other files... would there be some kind of chance that someone uploads the critter? :>

Hmm checked both now ingame. They still are somewhat different.

The poster on the previous page said blue CA was already done, but has not replied to questions yet (or will not?)... who knows, in any case, that means i won't be making the blue CA version myself.

From the previous page: "(...) if it looks a bit darker it is because the original green combat armor animations for the female are actually a bit darker than the ones for male, especially the pants (...)"

Really, from massively editing and working with the original FO critters you find a lot of things you never noticed while playing before; color imperfections, missing frames, messed up animations and frames offsets... :o

If there's any difference beyond what i wrote above between the two (male and female), it probably amounts to a pixel or two, and no one will ever notice it or care about it in-game.

P.S can't see the image, Lexx... :P

Male blue CA is done, as far as I can remember. Was also in Grayswandir's recolored critter pack.

what? o_O some one can post?

@female blue CA. xi'l you can make a short tut about your technic? i think i have enouth PS skills to make an blue CA by myself.

Ha ha !
I had totally forgotten about it. Then a female should be around too, maybe in a newer version of the pack. If the previous poster wont post his version i could probably do it. But I dont really like it. I think we need a lighter blue.

If it was the same methode than me, then the 2 possible color were grey and brown, a blue try would give you the same result as posted at the last page. But i might be wrong....
A brown one should also be in the recolored pack btw.

As for the blue CA for the girl, I am making one manually as basis for lynette, I have made the AX, the cX, and the Hx, and I am struggling to find the courage to do the death animation. I should also do the rifle one but no more.
If you want to do some other, i use 234 50 10 with gimp.
(don't you have a bald critter to work on? :D )[/code]

Since it was gonna be a lot of work and i got the impression that most people didn't cared/liked too much about those animations i scrapped them... :(
