Weren't you working on Van Buren? Is it now some kind of Fallout-inspired game using your tech over Unity?Lead dev here - it's in active development. That is all I can say at this point.
I still am when there's time. This project is completely unrelated to Van Buren or anything I worked on there. As a matter of fact, we don't even use Unity.Weren't you working on Van Buren? Is it now some kind of Fallout-inspired game using your tech over Unity?
That's cool, thx. Judging by the screenshots, I assume it may be sprite based?I still am when there's time. This project is completely unrelated to Van Buren or anything I worked on there. As a matter of fact, we don't even use Unity.
Your assumption is correct. Technical-wise, the game works very similarly to the original Fallout games. The intent is to overcome limitations of that era and make things bigger, more dynamic and more eye-pleasing.That's cool, thx. Judging by the screenshots, I assume it may be sprite based?
Makes sense. It’s a relief not being stuck with SVGA and its dithered 256-color limits. Games like Pillars of Eternity and Disco Elysium have nailed that sweet spot between old-school charm and modern polish (Shadowrun too, though to a lesser extent). And even if it's all pure sprites without the slick hybrid rendering tricks, there’s still a hungry niche out there drooling over those rare screenshots New Blood drops soooo infrequently. I hope there will be enough sales to keep the interest!Your assumption is correct. Technical-wise, the game works very similarly to the original Fallout games.
