New Dead Money screenshots in Bethesda latest newsletter

WorstUsernameEver

But best title ever!
The new Bethesda Softworks newsletter issue is out and it contains, among other things, a "a reminder that Dead Money, the first downloadable content for Fallout: New Vegas, arrives exclusively on Xbox LIVE on Tuesday", a couple of new screenshots and the DLC's cover art:

Both those screenies are from the trailer, I wanted to see more gas mask goodness.
Xbox marketplace has covers for it's DLC and other stuff.
Also Patrolling has two ls.

Why does it have cover art if it's downloadable content? Is it going to be released on disc?
You can find a lot of bigger DLC in stores on disks. I know GTA4 did this. Fallout 3 did it in bunches.

Well, I must confess, despite all doubts, I still have faith in Obsidian to pull this off as an interesting gameplay, not just as shooting fuckfest.

GTA 4 bundled two DLC in one retail disc. Fallout 3 also bundled its DLCs (and gave them bland Fallout 3 covers). Not sure I'd release a single DLC to retail.

Oh, so that's why my collector's edition didn't have an ace of spades in it.

The Vault says it's Pacer, King's right hand man.

Yeah I know, my collector's edition was missing the Ace of Spades. I sent Bethesda an email and they never got back to me so I gave up. Just making a bitter, bitter joke.

Also, regarding the commie ghosts: they kind of remind me of the girls from Lao Che's bar at the beginning of Temple of Doom.

Some cryptic info from a Focus tester on Something Awful

Can you say what those ghost things are and why they're hostile how they are made?

The ghost people are hostile for the same reason everything else in the Mojave is hostile- because gently caress you, I want your stuff. vv

As for how they're made, let's say the haze in the sky isn't dust and leave it at that.

Please tell me that ghoul wearing the tux and authority shades is one of the people you're forced to work with, and that he acts as awesome as he looks.

He is, he does, and the best part is that almost all of you have already seen him playing through new vegas, though perhaps in a decidedly more aesthetic version.

So is the nightkin's name Dog?

You mean the one with "Dog" carved into its chest? Well... sort of.

THIS is interesting. Sounds like there could be a very interesting explenation for those things.

Hm, that seems like the most interesting thing. More aesthetic-- does that mean that he was not a ghoul when we first saw him?

I was thinking posters, maybe?
