heh
congrats on the new design
but the menus STILL won't work on opera identifier
somebody NEEDS to get slapped
this is ridiculous

Yes, you're the one who needs to be slapped. You're likely the only person in the world who hasn't figured that using the IE ident for Opera is the way to go unless you're browsing a Mozilla-preferred page.

Again, it is because of the style handling changes between Opera 5,6,7 that result in this problem. Which has been explained to you in depth a number of times.

yes i know that, but i refuse to change it back and forth every time i visit this site
some websites actually use the browser checking for it's actual purpose; to circumvent a flaw or a feature shortcoming
this site does neither - but just BREAKS the html for opera without any reason
if you still blame this on opera, you are a fucking moron
good day and goodbye

Indiana Jones and the Super Mutants of Doom!

Seriously, what's with the Indiana look?

The font is used to give it a Indiana Jones look, ala 40-50ies look, which was what we were aiming for.. (logo, robot ala 50ies)
Oh...

I ran into an error when I clicked on the "How to install Fallout on XP/2000/NT (NMA)" article...

phpBB Fetch Posts Error: Topic ID has not been specified.

Not a big deal, but I thought I'd let you know, since I ran into it.

Hmm..works fine now, do you remember which page you were on when you clicked on the link ?

News Flash: Most Opera users use IE ident. As I pointed out before.

some websites actually use the browser checking for it's actual purpose; to circumvent a flaw or a feature shortcoming

No, they end up having to rewrite the entire site's styling to fit in with the new Opera ident, plus have to figure out what weird shit Opera did in their style changes as they don't follow anyone else's styling conventions. Therefore sites will look broken if they use CSS that is too complex, because Opera has some stupid shit going on that changes with each version. Sorry, but I'm not going to rewrite my PERL extensions to work integrated with every single other PERL extension or module. It's a waste of time and effort because only a small minority (like yourself) are too stupid to figure out how things really work, much less write their own modifications. If IE ident works, as it does beautifully for even the most CSS complex site and example I've seen (though there may be exceptions), then why take the time to rewrite a substantial amount of the script to adhere to Opera's new mystical CSS changes when the number of people foolhardy enough to use Opera ident numbers less than 0.04% of the visitors of the site?

this site does neither - but just BREAKS the html for opera without any reason

For the last time, dipshit, it's JavaScript and CSS, not HTML. Try not to look like a complete fucking retard when calling someone else that.

Yes, goodbye. You're too retarded to be allowed to remain on these forums and quite likely should not be allowed to breed, nor live much longer as you're likely a hazard to yourself and everyone around you with your stupidity. I will take care of that.

I clicked on "Articles" item in the "Fallout" menu from the main page, which took me to this page...

http://www.nma-fallout.com/fallout1/articles/

When I click "How to install Fallout on XP/2000/NT (NMA)" from that page, I receive the error.

I tried it again, and I'm still seeing the error. All of the other articles seem to show up just fine. I'm using Windows XP and Internet Explorer 6 with medium security settings. Maybe it's just my computer...

Anyway, I've managed to get Fallout installed and running on XP after a wee bit of wrangling (along with Torment), so that I can relive Interplay's RPG glory days at my leisure.
