I don't understand why do people still use fileshares and "online disks". The 90s have passed.

Sure, you can use VPN or any other hosting/cloud but in the most cases you have to pay fee. I think a lot of people want something "for free" so that is the reason they use "free" filesharing tools or online disks/clouds.

Exactly because in the 90s it was hard to find a decent host. Now there's a lot of great options, for free.
I went through RP bug reports, guess what - most of the links to savegames are dead, so the reports either not reproducible, or take a lot of effort to reproduce.
