It looks great, Odin. I can only imagine how much of your free time went into this.

It would help if you explained where you can see this "pink" color of yours, because I must be blind.. Here is it ??

One idea I've been fiddling with is to put in the no entry sign (ie the red circle with a slash through it) over Marcus.. still not sure, but I'll test it later on..

I was just so sick of the old design that I wanted this up right away..

Actually not alot of time, seems I'm a speed-demon when it comes to html code.. But the actual small tinkering took some time.. But I started this week..so...all in a weeks work..

A great work indeed, and as said before, a lot of
free time must have been sacrificed for it.

Arf... I think I have to tell the folks I planned to meet with
this evening, I'll come one or two hours later,
till I have enough of watching at the new design!

Oh and there is a minor bug with the menu/ads, some ads make it so that the menu goes behind the ad.. I'm looking at finding a fix for that, in the meantime just refresh..

Little idea: Maybe where Mr Marcus the Mutant is, each day it changes to a different random character from Fallout, if that'spossible. could even have a suprise appearence of Herve every now and again... maybe..

That actually shouldn't be a problem, only need to get Obsydian to make a few more logos.....
 
I hate to say it, but I like each new NMA layout less and less. :cry:

Technically well done, I just don't like it. Sorry.

It's not even nearly as good as good old school layout but it's still better than indiana jones style ...... infact anything would be better. ;)
I'll second DJ Slamák, looks ok but it's not my taste.
 
Can't please'em all, besides I was thinking alot of you guys would scold me for this one.. well somewhat..

Can I ask what you're looking for in a new design ? Keep in mind that putting up the regular pipboy layout, Fo interface layout has been done to death..
 
I would guess it's the colour that seems to be not to everyones taste.
I must admit it was the colours that first made me think "ugh", but it doesn't bother me at all now. i suppose it's the contrast between the old colour scheme.
Maybe a kind of rusty effect where the red/pinkish title bar things are would be more acceptable to some people.. maybe? :)

Edit: i can't see any pink anywhere ;)
 
I think the community/fallout/fallout 2 pulldowns should be more distinct; to the uneducated eye they might appear simply as things we do, not as links.

And the banner ad sucks major ass! but anyway...

Might it be possible to animate Marcus, with blinking and stuff? that'd be cool.

If the fallout info thing on the top right side changed periodically, to for instance a FO manual depiction of a vault, that'd be cool too. Maybe a spot where a random perk shows up would be cool.

A guess what I'm saying is that I have no reason to go to the front page, unless things change, and keep my interest. I'd just as soon there not be front page.

And seriously, the banner needs to go! :wink:
 
Right, those of you that still see pink (which there isn't...I dunno where you guys are seeing it), clear your browsers cache.. It might be from the old design... SO DO THAT, cause there's only POOP color.....
