I can't wait to see Smoke & Noob in this game and that trailer is actually all some of us MK fan's need. They are doing what Street Fighter did with SF 4 & SSF 4, which was make it badass & back to it's roots.

It looks a little better in that video and they did slightly turn down the silliness but the fights don't look cool. Apart from Scorpion's leg scissor takedown, most of the moves look like an average dude is fighting. They rarely even lift their legs above their waists. Don't know. Not excited but it could be worse.

Not too keen on the x-ray cut-aways but the consistant damage is cool, there is a skating problem but it's an early build, and all in all I can definitely see the return to MK2 and 3, which is good. It definitely looks like it has a ways to go with polish and probably moves but it's looking like it could be a good fighter again. Also, the people playing demoing didn't seem very good at the game... I'd like to see some solid tag combos, especially after seeing what MvC3 showed of their new tag combo system.

I think that it's a reboot in that it's reseting the continuity to either the time of the first or second game and adding in all of the current characters, which was the thing to do if you ask me. The series has been long overdue for a return to it's roots.

I still play Mortal Kombat 2 with one of my friends from time to time. MK is fun when stoned.

I'm actually excited about this... they moved away from what I liked about MK when they did the 3d weapons stuff, and this move back to 2d should do the series some good.

I've only played Mortal Kombat, II, and III, back in the day, never really paid much attention to the other games. Mileena is kind of, err, under dressed for such an occasion.

Far as the people playing in the video and there skill, they are just demoing the game out showing off each character's moves & combo's. While they did not connect some combo's they were trying to pull off they aren't exactly trying to best one another ethier. So far the game look's good to me, I am more excited about MvC 3 though but then again there both pretty close im a huge MK fan.
