New Vegas = Van Burren resurrected?

It wouldn't suprise me to see some of the VB stuff in the game as they did a very detailed work on the region's real locations ant tailored the VB to it but as the VB documents are in the open, don't hold your breath to see a direct copy pasta of them. Folks at Obsidian do have that much self respect to create new things.

i disagree
Van Buren took place in the American southwest (Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Utah). The westernmost sites on the game map are the easternmost borders of New California Republic

and dont bite my head off since my FO1 / FO2 borders a bit off chart but it foes look like the right spot.

Well, given that even Bethesda has used some of the Van Buren stuff in FO3 and its DLC already, I don't see why Sawyer wouldn't reference some of it in New Vegas as well.

The only thing bethesda used from van buren was the name "fallout 3"

I presume that you don`t know much about VB, do ya?

Man, just thinking that they were 85% finished with VB when they got shut down...so close. Now we have this 3D FPS yada yada instead.

Obsidian has released Knights of the Old Republic 2, Neverwinter Nights 2, NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer and NWN2: Storm of Zehir. They'll release Alpha Protocol fairly soon.

The devs who work in the studio are a mix of noobs who worked on those titles and veterans from Black Isle Studios.

Out of all those, I've only played KOTOR 2 and from what I hear, it's the only one worth playing. Isn't that correct?

To be honest, I didn't think KOTOR 2 was that great of a sequel either so I'm skeptical as shit. Hopefully, Fallout is just the kind of game they can do perfectly well.

I just hope, they adapt as much of the VB history as possible. I mean timeline wise.

Ok, I for myself see VB as 100% canon anyway, even if it never has been finished. But some more support from NV could come handy too.

Still, it also would feel somehow sad to see story relevant content from VB in NV, because this would show even more, that VB itself will never ever happen (it would be silly to use the same content - even just in parts - in two different games).

I doubt they'll reuse any of the actual VB story in NV. They'll probably just reference elements of the setting introduced in VB.
