NFL 2011

Bwaaaaahahahhahahahhhahahahah Redskins. Three first-round picks and a second rounder to move up four spots? Way to torpedo your franchise, guys. You didn't exactly have the talent to go "we just need a QB and we're winners".

.

no problem -- they can just sign a bunch of free agents......oh wait......

Eh, franchise is already in the dumps, I think the worst part of the trade is giving up this year's 2nd as well. As for losing the cap space: according to the Redskins GM they haven't heard a thing about it from the NFL, I'm wondering if they'll appeal. Typical of the nfl to penalize a team for following the rules.

I'm sure the Skins and Bwoys will fight this tooth and nail, but they can only appeal to the NFL itself - so that's not going to do them much good. The NFLPA signed off on it, too.

Also, the NFL warned them repeatedly not to do that shit. They did it anyway. Own damn fault.

What I am not hoping for is that Robert Griffin takes one look at that mess and goes "no thank you, please trade me to somewhere else"

I think you could take the diving-at-a-guy's-legs-for-a-$10,000-bounty out of football and it would still be okay. I'll trade you that for Goodell's stupid "leading with the helmet" interpretations.

I think all the new hitting rules are retarded. It's football, that's why you get the big bucks, so put on your big boy pants and take the hit.
