Night(or when do you function best)

There is a thing that bugs me and i'm trying to figure it out. For some reason the most productive time for me is from ~9pm all the way to ~3am, this goes for studying, inspiration, writing (code, music etc.) and so on. It's like all my neurotransmitter turn on in the evening as opposed to daytime, when i can't concentrate as much, don't get those surges of inspiration and mostly feel unmotivated. I often hear people talk of how they think best when they are fresh (after breakfast). Even though i'm a decently early riser from bed, when it's morning or daytime i feel best when i'm outside, doing exercises, walking, moving around. If i have to sit and read or write something, or feel deep involvment in the topic, i just feel sleepy and not in the game (i still force myself through it).

So i was wondering if don't get enough sleep or some such shit and it would be interesting to hear and compare how other people here function. When are you most productive, best functioning version of yourself?

I am a very creative person I guess. But to be honest, I cant really say which time of the day would be the best for me. In the past I have usually been creative in the evening, so you might believe that is the best time. That was before I started to do a training as graphic designer. But I realized that its more about motivation for me, it now doesnt matter if its 3 a.m, 8 a.m or 1 pm. I try to be creative on the spot, like if you push a button, and then it just happens. Sometimes it depends on the project though. If something is a lot of fun, then it goes much easier. If its a chore ... well. Doesn matter which day time it really is. Its difficult to be all the time creative, but luckily, there are ways and tools you can work with. You have to develop some habbits I guess that suppot you in your work flow. If you dont have one, then you have to get a work flow first of course.

I personaly believe a lot depends on your habits though. If you spend most of the day working, then you have naturaly only time to do the stuff you "love" in the evening. Means youre eventually very productive late at night. So you simply trained(?) your self to do it like that. No clue.

I can point out first though that, I hate the fucking sun. I feel dehydrated and overall shitty. I love the night though. At night time I feel like I've never felt better. Usually my time comes around 6/7pm and lasts until 7am.

It's not only about being creative, but even emotionaly i feel better, i like things more and can study something with real passion. I can of course do stuff in the span of the day too, and most of the stuff i do is at daytime, but most often i feel much better evening/nightime. I just can't figure it out, i think it's kind of similar feeling to what BigBoss wrote.

Well you guys ... the answer might be a lot simpler then you think :look:

They are mostly working at night as well. Mostly.

Yes, I too am a vampire, a creature of the night, one who shuns the sun, lurker of the shadows, etc
In reality, it is just dumb habit, and every now and then I am doing my best to re-ween me into appreciating daytime. Drawing is the best argument, since drawing in any kind of off-light is bothersome to the eyes and strainsome.

Otherwise, the same, like when I write, I have a habit of waiting untill well after dark, before I feel "in the mood" to get anything done.

Well I'm a night person. On the other hand when I do drag myself out of bed early in the morning I usually get a lot more done during the day. I used to live in a flat, it was kind of difficult to be a full on night person if you have to avoid making too much noise all the time.
