NMA Brotherhood of Steel Writing Contest

dude, i'd prefer Defonten art over national awards!
ditto.

Anyone gutsy enough to post their works here or in the fanfic section, (is this allowed before announcing the winners?) so it could be collectively roasted by other members.

Since I'm not in the same timezone as most of you folks, has the deadline passed? What's the ETA on judgment?

Future Perfect Tense

Future Perfect Tense

Thought NMA time was GMT plus 5, now appears GMT PLUS one.
None the less, no replacement for sleep this winter.
Feasible rationalization to stop procrastinating and loose the draped outline.

NMA ... Always in the future.

Left out the Dynamic Tension of dramatic opposites,
quess-timated 1000 and change,
and proof reads counted on one finger,
mailed a bundle of schticks, Word counted at 915.

Fail.

The pure white pansy BOS remains unchallenged.
The free world is safe, for the time, GMT + 1,
but with no competing alternative, the free market shall once again FAIL.

Teh Epically.

Now off into the inter urban commuting freeway, the day job arises.

Technically we're closed. I just filed the last two entries. Real torrent of entries these past few days.

But honestly, we're not going to be anal enough that I'll ignore entries for being a bit late. I'll probably announce it when it is really definitely officially closed, this evening.

We prefer if you don't. Fine once the winners are announced, but before...rather you don't.

i'll eventually post mine closer to FO3 release, i suppose.

the state it's in right now is not even worth reading. damn you wordlimit!
you'll be able to roast all it you want once it's actually finished, but i doubt that'll be anytime soon. hopefully it'll inspire a few people to mod the game with the background as described in it. though i'm not holding my breath.

Come on. 1000-1200 words. At 250-300 words a page, we're talking about 4 pages.

Call it a lesson in brevity.

I suspect Hemingway could swing it.

No, it was winning a bet that he could write a story in six words.

A story? Or autobiography? What difference?

(How's that for a six word story?)

Doh! Did it again didn't I?

(Damn it, Contractions are words too!)

I just can't seem to stop...

You're linking me to a blog as a reference to back up your claim that the six word story was an autobiography, just 'cause the blog entry's title says so?

Dude.

What difference?

DUDE.

That Hemingway story kinda inspired me !
I have now also written my own 6 word story :
"Bethesda sucks ! Fallout 3 will be crap !" Copyright © 2008 - All rights reserved

I think that's seven words unless you don't count the "3."

But that's great. Let me try too, 6 words to explain why the Brotherhood can be found in D.C.

"Go East, Young Knight, Go East."

-or-

"Super Mutants are Routed. We Follow."

Man this is great I can actually make the word limit now.
