Oh, I meant Original Sin. I keep forgetting its name...
Anyway, there are more stuff that is isometric and RPG or tactical combat oriented too. Like Expeditions: Conquistador and Xenonauts.
It's been a couple of years but we've gotten a neat bunch of cRPG's and tactical isometric games and it seems like the trend is going to continue.

Paradox is most famous for making historical nation-building games.

KOTOR is made by Obsidian, and is technically historical because it's set a long, long time ago.

    Please say it's Mandalore Universalis.

VTMB is the only game that i really want to see a sequel of, and of course it's the only game that doesn't get one. But i guess it's better to have none, rather than some crap.

It looks good, very excited even though it isn't Vampire.

Yeah.. but it's also another medieval series. I dunno how to feel about that part. I don't see why something like this couldn't be set in modern times or in the future.

Nothing wrong with a fantasy setting, plus you get to play as a member of an evil faction right out of the gate.

Also Stellaris is a buy for me as well, some good games coming up.

I'm so done with the amount of fantasy games Obsidian have been producing. I want a VTMB sequel. I want Dark Sci-Fiction. Don't care much from the way some of the cyberpunk games have been coming out. But VTMB sequel would be 10/10

Paradox just got the rights to Vampire at the end of last year, so if Obsidian is working on it it's still way early.

I'm pretty disappointed too that they're going for a pre-medieval fantasy setting. I was hoping for sci-fi setting like The Dutch Ghost wanted.

But hey, it's due to be released this year, and hopefully they will be onto a different genre (maybe retro futuristic...) next.

Judging by the initial concept I'd say it looks more like an RPG/Strategy hybrid akin to The Banner Saga rather than a full-blown RPG. Could be interesting to see how Obsidian deals with this approach if it turns out to be the case.

Looks very interesting, though I too would have preferred a non-fantasy title for a change.

PS. The game already has a Steam Store page, heh. It is indeed listed under the tags Strategy/RPG/Action/Adventure, and there's some screenshots too.

True enough. Fallout 4 had 0 moments where I could actually be evil, so this should definitely help alleviate my frustration with being unable to be a villain. Considering it's Obsidian, I have no doubt that this quote from the Steam page: "Choices matter - a different player experience every time you play it -" is absolutely true.

That is one thing that confuses me about Obsidian a little though. They were willing to allow childkilling in Pillars of Eternity but then gave in to SJWs over some random poem on a tombstone? (yes I know the guy who wrote the original poem asked them to change it after the uproar, but still) Very confusing mixed messages. They seem like they're pretty much up for putting anything in their games yet it also seems like they'll buckle under pressure if it's too strong. I dunno.

    Did someone say evil faction?

Anyway, the game looks great! Now I have TWO games I'm excited for! Numenaris and Tyranny!

Another fucking isometric fantasy RPG. Just great. You know, Obsidian, there's, like, eight billion of those? Maybe want to try something a little more unique?

I wasn't really expecting another New Vegas, but fuck me, I just can't win today, can I?

I just don't want another damn isometric RPG. I absolutely hate that genre. At least give us something innovative. A Metroidvania with a decent story and good C&C? An FPS with a decent story and good C&C? Literally any other genre with a decent story and good C&C?

Well then why do you like Fallout if it was made originally as isometric RPGs? You just like New Vegas right?

Innovative? Umm, I think being able to play as an officer of a bad guy group is pretty cool, and I can't wait for being an influential figure instead of a nobody.

I like Fallout 1, too, but it's gameplay is it's weakest point. I hated Fallout 2 because it didn't do anything new with the gameplay and the story was just bad. I didn't like Fallout 3 because nothing was implemented well. I liked NV because it abandoned the isometric format for gameplay that was fun and had the kind of story and C&C you see in isometric RPGs.

Bad story? Yeah you still haven't really proven that, though I agree it's mediocre. What Fallout 2 does best is the factions and their rivalries, something they do better over New Vegas in my opinion! It had no forced independent story and was very open. You could make one faction dominate certain areas or be the main power of the game.
