err, I hope I didn't do anything wrong by finding that laser rifle...well, it was broken, so I'll just keep it broken untill it's okay to use it. Besides, my char has a low energy weapon skill.
 
This site would probably have a experimental weapon or two for reasons we will find out on level three. I would think that these weapons may have survived but even then it might have some problems, either it is a prototype and it never had all the bugs worked out (I.E. your character might have to modify it theirselves to make it more stable and reliable) or the weapon was damaged in use before this site was abandoned and will need to be repaired. Also Pyro you may just want to lose the the laser gun to an overheated and fried power source. Just an idea.

Okay Kahgan, I am going to allow the laser rifle but I would think that it would need some replacement parts that may be hard to find, (putting a delay on using it). The parts can probably be found on level three but fixing the weapon might have wait a bit for reasons that will be revealed in time.

Anything else guys?
 
Totally okay for me, Albatross, besides, Melchoirs char found two clips of 9mm for my UZI :D
 
Well, my characther just lost his only current weapon other than a knife, so he'll be running for a while til he links up with someone else.
 
Hey psycho if you run back to the place where we split up I will give you my laser pistol in exchange for you fixing the targeting reticle thingy after I post myself breaking it

Okay that would be fine for now.

OKay note to everyone currently on level two: Get you character down the office/elevator area where Arco is. We are going down to level three tomarrow.

this aint so superdooper advanced as you might think. the advanced versions of the OICW and the FN F2000 already have that installed :)

back to the point: your GPS should be deader than a doornail. (it works on satelites, so it would be doa)
 
I know and as a matter of fact in my next post I was gona state the GPS was down.

As for batteries I will simply charge it off of Rosco every two days or so.
 
Okay pyro, I think that some of the stuff you found is a wee bit too much. You can keep one of things you found (other than the gun) but the rest needs to get busted or something on level three. It really shouldn't be too hard once we find out what is down there.

Also I am typing up the level three post as we speak so it should be here by tonight.
 
soh, we just on to exploring again now? or are we supposed to do something specific?
 
OKay I few notes. One, these new creatures are tough to kill. Two, there is only one working weapon to found on this floor and it can't be found until I give the post to do so. Three, wandering around freely will probably not be happening on this floor at all. Everything will probably be done in group. Four, Kahgan, you can find the parts to the laser rifle here but not right now.

Ok, Jack isnt that good at biology, but he's noticing that the creatures eat their own when wounded.

It'll be a little bit of game time before I have him fully realize what that means.
 
OKay Psycho, I like the idea of the creatures being canabals, but they are difinately not going to stop to eat their own when something they view as a potential threat is present, namely the group. It really goes against basic animal biology.
 
Yeah, but it can still be used as something to distract them.

The way I see it is this. The base is a closed ecosystem. They'll eat anything they can, including eachother when wounded.

If theyre allready locked on a target (namley, us) they'll keep coming, but if we wound the first few ones as they peek around corners it could somewhat assist our characthers.

Okay anyway, these final two beast have the ability to absorb energy and have nano fiber infused muscles. It will be explained later why such creatures would be here. In fact the answer lie in the files we seek.

What types of energy do they asorb ?

Phased plasma (your plasma riflle)
Im assuming light energy, which means my laser useless


Im assuming that we have to use kinetic energy to damage them mainly.
 
Yeah, Kinetic energy only.

Also this is the last fight on the chapter. Once it is finished we will learn what this site really was, blow the place, and then start a new chapter. This one is kind of getting stagnate.
