Old World Blues DLC is absolutely awesome!

Good to see someone enjoying it. I really enjoyed the dialog on that one.

I liked a lot about Old World Blues such as the setting, locations within, the sci fi concepts.
Except... I do not really like the quests. I rather dislike having to go around like an errand boy, collecting stuff so that the end game of the DLC can be unlocked.
One fetch quest would not have been so bad but I really wish they had done some diversity with the campaign structure.

I hated it on first try, but I hated all the dlcs, they have all since grown on me, including that one, which is a favorite as well.

Only downside to OWB IMO, the dialogue at the beginning kinda drags on but other than that it's what a DLC should be.

The writting is really good, but the quest structure is a little too loose and reliant on fetch quests. Still a lot of fun. I like all the DLCs but my favorite has to be Dead Money.

I liked the dialogues, didn't like the quests. Go find this, fetch that, bring me that other macguffin too. Kinda boring. But characters were entertaining though.
I also have a love/hate relationship with the aesthetic. To my understanding it is what people in the 50's imagined the future as, which I appreciate, but personally I don't like it, stuff looks too toy-like to me. But I understand why it's that way, so I can't really fault them for that.

I also liked that theyintroduced completely new Creature models in the form of the Think tank, other DLCs just had humanoid creatures and re-skinned Trogs as new enemies but the Think tank are just entirely new and their movements are pretty well done. I feel that if Gamebryo supported animated textures (or if consoles could handle those) maybe the Mouths and Eyes of the Think Tank would've been fully animated. But maybe that would've been out of time scope.

the opening sequence with the think tank did drag a little, but i think all of them are blowhards that obviously think they are high and mighty know-it-all's types. i know i laughed hard about what they thought fingers and toes were, not to mention "breathing" around dala! :P

Yeah it's simple fetch quests for the most part, but I don't mind the opening dialogue sequence with the brains at all. They're hilarious.

Who can forget the sonjaculating bit, "Ding... turkey's done!"

Even better when you ask 8 for help "passing the time" afterwards. He hooked my female Courier up with a Tales of Chivalrie comic and a handful of microfusion cells.

ok, i need help, i am at the think tank battle. i made a deal with my brain that he remains hidden until the think tank is dealt with, i got my heart and spine back in my body. but i dont know where the heck my brain is. he mentioned i would need dr kleins lab to put him back in, do i use the autodoc though once i get the dlc ending?

I think you get your brain back automatically after the ending slide if you convinced it to come with you. You get a prompt telling you that you got the big brain perk.

I told it to remain w/ mobius to remain safe and help me from there, but it said it would be hiding in the pipes to sneak in when the think tank wasn't noticing. once completed the epilogue, it stated the brain stayed behind and never got put into a mobile unit like mobius or the think tank. so i dont know what happened. it made it sound like it would be there waiting when the time was right. does this mean i am now brainless permenantly, or should i check the autodoc after completing the story? the brain wasnt in mobius's lab afterwards, and wasnt in the tank in the sink.

...should i check the autodoc after completing the story? the brain wasnt in mobius's lab afterwards, and wasnt in the tank in the sink.

Yeah, check the Auto-Doc and see if the option to swap out parts is available. So the brain said it would stay behind, only to join you at the last minute upon reaching the Dome?

Were in the lights in the Think Tank's command center red during the finale, as in, was the pacification field down?

yep. lights were red in the think tank. i didnt have high enough skills to get the non-violent solution so i had to kill them. i got the epilogue bit stating that my brain stayed behind, but when i checked the autodoc as you suggested, it was ready to be put back in me. i got my brain babk, yay!

You can get the non-violent solution without high skills, if you do the personal quest (or unmarked quest) for each of the members of the Think Tank. When you play it again, I really recommend that approach since it gets the other 4 to finally stand up to Klein.

i didnt have high enough science, repair or speech to do some of the quests and so i had to opt for basic batttle for the think tank, next time i will most definitely wait until i have higher stats to do all the quests and get the non-violent ending.

i think i love the new terms that are invented for the OWB dlc: skinvelope, fingers/toes=penises, etc.! i havent enjoyed dialogue like that in a long time! :P
