We need an excuse to kill characters? Since when?

Anyway, take your time, and pick your characters when you're ready. There will probably be an update in the next day or two, if our other players post up.

Maybe Stompie is apologizing for having posted in Systematic Annihilation before Zombie Apocalypse. That's okay, and anyway this round Stompie was the first to post and I'm waiting on two other players. I do plan to go ahead and update Thursday night anyway, since neither of them have characters in combat. I also want to update Systematic Annihilation and get that moving again, but that'll have to wait until the weekend.

By the way, as I mentioned in the IC thread, Hockey does not have line of sight on any zombies, human or coyote, so he cannot shoot and gets to save a bullet. He can instead move to the top of the stairs this round, and next round he will be able to shoot.

Hi guys

Taking longer than I thought to read through all this zombie mayhem, but bear with I'm getting there

That's okay, we're not going anywhere. There probably won't be an update today anyway since only one player has posted so far, but I do intend to update on Wednesday since I have off from work then.

McCain's shot in the last round wasn't quite good enough for an impale. His effective skill was 57%, so he'd need an 11 or less to get an impale and he rolled a 12. However, the damage roll still would have been enough for a kill with just the first half, so this doesn't really change anything.

Also, it will take Alice two rounds to get down the flights of stairs to the warehouse, so she isn't there yet, and the body is already in the open cell so there is no need for Jim to move it.

McCain killed the zombie coyote before Hockey had a chance to fire, so you may want to edit your last post, Stompie.

why are we getting all these pop ups on this site now? It used to be free and now for some reason there are too many popups! Also are you updating the game today since you are off?
-steve

there is a problem with the ad banners on top of the site. the admins are already complaining to the providers.

in the meanwhile, get firefox and adblock plus? simply remove the top banner with adblock. banner gone, no popups.

I just did update the game this afternoon, Steve, so feel free to post. Alice can reach the bottom of the stairs this round.

I never even noticed the pop-ups, since I've had my blocker on all along.

I apologies for not posting for the last two updates.
Just as a heads up for the next three weeks I will be
rather busy at the acting (for lack of a better word) camp I'm at.
Should be able to post thought.

Don't worry about it, and thanks for letting me know. If you want, you can leave standing orders for your characters while you're away if you won't be able to post. Since people are posting quickly, I should be able to update again this weekend.

Steve, when you're searching the cells, you shouldn't assume that there's nothing visible inside when you look through the sliding panel. There also isn't necessarily anything you can find in a cell if you happen to succeed at future Spot Hidden rolls. As it happens, cell 5 was empty, but other cells might not be. The way we should work this is that when I update I'll tell you what you see in the cell after looking through the panel, and you can decide whether or not to open the door when you post. Since you said he's going to look in cell 6 next, I'll post what he sees through the panel in my next update. Then, if you have him search the cell, you can roll Spot Hidden and indicate which cell is next on his list. I'll then let you know what if anything he sees in the cell he's searching and what he can see through the panel of the next cell. Jim Kerr can search one cell thoroughly per major update in this manner.

Incidently, those at the motel are probably figuring out that there is little chance they can really defend the motel from the ground. They might be able to defend from the second floor and barricade the way up. Those on the ground are way vulnerable.

Yes, this was the plan all along and the purpose of moving the comm gear upstairs. Once all the stairs are barricaded, the motel will be more defensible. However, there is another problem that the people there are discovering. Those on the roof cannot shoot at zombies that have managed to reach the motel. Neither can those on the balcony unless they fire down a stairway, which they will no longer be able to do once that stairway is blocked. This is not a problem as long as no zombies get to the motel, but if the defenders fail to stop all of them...

I'd like to update Thursday night, but I'm still waiting for Stompie to post. I plan to update on Saturday at the latest, though.

Zombies are good at smashing things, remember. They will eventually be able to smash through the barricades and get up the stairs. In Chapter 1, when I was still a player, I was thinking of destroying the stairs, but since they are largely made of concrete this isn't possible.
