Has anyone else noticed a bunch of Bethesda devs being on alot in the last 24 hours? I count 3, and Pete's been here atleast 4 times.

I think its good that they come here and post, it only takes a small ammount of effort, but it goes a long way to show they are interested in us.

Who are the other Devs from Bethesda who come here?

On a completely different note....
I might be a little slow, but I have no idea what PS was on about, or why it was banable? Other than off topic, and spaming so much he surpassed my post count

Are you insuating I would post false documents in order to discredit someone?

I sent my resume over just in case.

If I lived States-side I would walk around with a little "Hire Corith" banner in front of the Bethesda building.

As it is, good luck.

Thanks!

It helps the depression I feel after Obsidian turned me down for a scripting postion. I guess 25 years of D&D gaming, 20 years of programming, and 5 years of C# programming, wasn't enough.

Indeed, as I have only 0 years of D&D gaming, 6 years of programming and 5 months of C# programming (which amounted to me copying someone else's assignment in a desperate attempt to avoid flunking). But I also have only 20 years of life, which automatically gives me an upper hand in any comparison with a fossil like Corith.

No hard feelings, Corith.

Well, it is Obsidian after all. You wouldn't expect them to make rational choices after jumping in bed with Bioware again, do you?

Or perhaps you were too qualified?

Well we need and infiltrator to sneak in a borrow the source code to FO2 lol

But on a serious note, I would like to know if in the process of buying the FO licence Bethseda were given any/all of the original FO/FO2 tools or source codes. If so it would be a nice present to the fans to release any of it, in fact if they did they would automaticaly be lifted above Interplay status (not really saying much, but you get my point)

Of course even if they do have it they might not be legaly allowed to release it.

Hey Pete, Do you guys have any of te original code?

To the best of knowledge, they were. Although I believe that Fergus bought the graphic textures (and some other assets) in early June 2004, before Interplay was shut down.

Hey, i also have programming experience, 6 months on C# (which consisted of me copying some guy's assignment to avoid fluking) 6 months of Pascal (same thing) and 6 months in assembler (i kind of did some things, but someone got an "advance copy" of the final exam, so it all went down the crapper)... I guess i'm good enough to work at obsidian, since i've had some good training at copying other people's code without knowing enough to actually question what's being done.

But hey, good luck corith.

And i don't think there was anything talking about the 2 fallout games on what was published about the beth FO deal

So we can forget about anything art related coming into our hands, since Fergus hates Fallout fans.

Well the FRM file format has pretty good support with fan based applications, its just the other bits and pieces, like and offical lip editor or the mother of all FO modders... The engine source :o

One can only hope, and dream of possiblities

Don't feel bad. Obsidian is a "special club". Look at who went and who didn't.
