Point Lookout: a buggy release?

Sorry, boys, but I've been playing Point Lookout all day and haven't encountered a single glitch. It's hardly the same scenario.

It's leaps and bounds better than the other DLCs -- the first of the bunch that truly is worth the price tag.

Currently it always crashes when just entering the mother pungi fruit thingy area so unfortunatly just because it works for you it does not work for everyone.

Also you should check out the Beth forums, even the 360 users are getting shafted.

thx god we dont live in some kind of bizzaro world where people draw conclusions on the stability of a game as whole based only on their individual experience they have with their PC and game ...

...wait a min ...

Did my time-machine work? Because I swear to god same thing happened when FO3 was released. "It works for me so it itsn't buggy!"

Sadly, this is the consumer's fault.

People showed Beth a long time ago (with Oblivion) that they needn't waste time fixing bugs, but just release tons of low quality DLC, and it'll still get purchased.

Heck if the bugginess gets more attention maybe Beth will actually focus on patches that fix things.
I doubt it though what with all the "We don't patch our games because we prefer to look towards the future" or watever Todd said a while back.

Wishful thinking. If they truly meant to, they would've already started fixing the bugs. Heck, they'd have fixed the obvious ones before release.

Also, well, I wonder why people finally start noticing the bugs in the DLCs. Where were they during the original game release? Or are the DLCs even MORE buggy?? (LIVE isn't available here, so I didn't check them out).

This is what happening when you use expired curry powder to make curry. It looks like curry but taste like crap.

As the old saying says "fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on you"...

Okie I think I'm drunk. :ugly:

Isn't that supposed to be the other way around, like "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me"? :)

Nah it goes "fool me once, shame on --shame on you. Fool me -- you can't get fooled again."

A president said it so that must be the right one.

How should it go now, when bethesda has fooled people 4 (or more if you count oblivion) times?

"try to fool me 4 times with crap DLC, shame on you, try to fool me again and I come down there with a pitchfork and torch and burn your shit to the ground."

Did they ever release patches for the actual game (not the DLC's)? Because aside from the fact that I didn't really enjoy the game, the constant freezes and crazy goings on really detracted from my enjoyment (or lack thereof).

Yes. Their patch notes are surprisingly short for such an unstable game, but that might be them simply not listing a lot of fixes, which some developers do.
