/pol/shit, Or: How I learned to stop worrying and love the shitposting

So you will just agree to disagree then? Jk.

I only speak about my country right now, this election cycle and the overall political envirorment has left me at my most cynical.

Asked Tuesday about his administration missing a court-imposed deadline to reunite migrant children under age 5 with their parents, President Trump said he had “a solution.”

“Tell people not to come to our country illegally,” Trump told reporters. “That’s the solution. Don’t come to our country illegally. Come like other people do. Come legally.”

Trump’s comments about fallout from his administration's “zero tolerance” policy on immigration came as he prepared to leave the White House on a week-long trip to Europe.

A Department of Justice lawyer acknowledged Monday that the administration would not be able to reunite all of the roughly 100 children under age 5 in federal custody by Tuesday’s deadline imposed by a judge in California.

In some cases, the lawyer said, parents have been deported or are in jail facing criminal charges, requiring more time for reunification.

Trump, who has previously advocated denying migrant families due process when accused of crossing the southern border illegally, also brushed off a reporter’s question about whether he was calling for punishing children.

“I’m saying this: We have laws,” he said. “We have borders. Don’t come to our country illegally. It’s not a good thing.”

And they are even remotely mainstream?

To argue that radicals have "Seized control" you should probably use examples that actually have any genuine impact on your politics.

A tiny fringe group who have had no real effect on anything is not an example of your country's left being "Seized by radicals", especially given that no politicians and no mainstream media outlets even remotely support them
I fail to see how a group that simply exists to protest police brutality is even remotely radical.

Jeez, the amount of vitriol thrown towards that one kid is honestly hilarious.

They have advocated for reparations and race-based income redistribution in general, for one.

Protesters getting mad at mass income inequality = Entire leftist platform hijacked?

Oh my god you don't know what happened to OWS, do you? Oh dear. OK, so it STARTED as protesters being mad at mass income inequality and Wall Street shenanigans. It STARTED like that. It did not end like that.

Reparations has been a topic that civil rights activists have been debating since the 80s. This is hardly "Radicals hijacking the left", it's simply the continuation of an ongoing debate.

It ended with people creating mutual aid programs for one another, and having mass-scale democratic meetings in parks.

What's there to get?

It ended by splintering into dozens of ineffectual and ultimately irrelevant smaller groups because certain groups of people wanted to do things like implement the progressive stack to decide who gets to talk and ramble on about social issues that were not apropos of a movement designed to protest wealth inequality. OWS is now a joke because Progressives decided they were going to carve it up for their own damn ends. OWS WAS LITERALLY HIJACKED.

So why are you so scared of them? The revolution will always eat its own children. Let them.

And the first real left wing movement the US has seen in half a century fracturing up in to "ultimately irrelevant smaller groups" supports your hypothesis that the left has been hijacked?

Everyone knows that ultimately irrelevant smaller groups are great at hijacking an entire political sphere.

*sigh*

Because I liked OWS and wanted to see it do something FFS and with these Progressive chucklefucks around I constantly have to worry about entryism and such in any similar endeavor I or others might undertake.

Who are the radicals who have seized control of the left in your country?

Last I checked the Democrats were pretty centrist and nowhere near radical.

No. Their behavior in Congress especially has been absurd. Their protests have been violent. They have attacked people for wearing Trump hats. Frankly I think most of it is being instigated.

I would like to go on record and claim that Antifa leadership is a terror cell put in place by the Left due to its secrecy in regards to funding and membership.

Compare this interview to...

Of course you will notice in the Russian interview they ask him things like "Do you like your chair?" so it is an unfair comparison.

Historically, by global standards, Democrats have been center-right.

The fact that there's been a shift towards more left wing politics doesn't show they've been "seized by radicals", it shows that the US finally has a vaguely left-wing party, instead of a party of centrist masquerading as liberals.
claim that Antifa leadership
lmao, yeah Antifa's leadership. Cause everyone knows that Antifa is a highly organised group with strict hierarchies and leadership.

Now that you mention it, it is strange that Antifa has no records on funding or leadership. I mean, it's not like it's just some label that anyone can apply to themselves or claim membership to. Nah, they obviously have clear vetting processes that come from the "Antifa Leadership", lmao.
