Political Spergatory or How I Learned To Love /pol

More in the realm of delusional halfwit after hearing his story seeing what is going on while watching TV and decided he can talk the cops out arresting people trying to burn a building down. the man was a putz and got treated like one.
Honestly, it's hilarious that police just can't get out of their bad optics these past few months even with all the media attention on them. Says a lot really.
I've been berated repeatedly by people who are in unconditional support of these protests for saying that they would be used to justify a lot of really bad shit both now and over the next few years. I don't agree with what is happening overall. Reminds me of what Chomsky had to say of Antifa. Doesn't really stop whats happening from being unconstitutional either, which was Navy vets point.

Many of these arrests aren't even in relation to the threatened burning of the building, many are random, targeting people who have been peaceful and without warrants. As if they were ever within 1,000 miles of succeeding anyways. It's like the gov is guilty of the same thing the protestors are.

All cops are bad vs All protestors are bad.

Maybe that makes me a halfwit too for worrying about the precedent that may be being set at this moment regarding how protests are treated. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I never disagreed with the feds having jurisdiction over federal buildings.

I am speaking of them driving around the city, far from their AO, and snatching people, without any kind of ID of who they are. Have the people they grabbed committed any crimes? Keep in mind peaceful protest is the bedrock of our democracy. This the U.S.A. not China.

I don't have to read a paragraph if it ends in that video. Point made. Cheers.

Why else would they choose them?

Yes, let us risk a law suit during a time of crisis. Those are not regular cops. They have no quota. They are doing what they are being told to do from all the way up top which is to stop these neverending riots at the root which means leadership, which means people that might not look like they are doing things but they are doing things. Why did you arrest that serial killer? He looked like a normal guy!

Uhh I know this one,

Hacking your phone and finding your ass for tweets!

Uhh no, what's the correct answer again?

DHS already said they were monitoring groups that were instigating riots. They said they were monitoring key individuals. They even pointed out these people were blatantly mouthy about the shit they wanted to do. Now people are being snatched off the streets. Pretty clear cut that the people would deny everything but anybody still out there involved with this shit is pretty invested tbh. Almost cult like.

I hope Shaniqua down there at DHS knows I appreciate her service.

The guy they grabbed said he wasn't doing anything. He was even released. If it was a targeted snatch and grab, then whoever was responsible for intel really fucked up.

On the assumption they are doing something, I could understand unmarked cars but they need uniforms IDing which agency they are with.

I am uncomfortable with the FBI adopting CIA type tactics on U.S. citizens.

Whether the FBI does or not is irrelevant since the DHS does and will continue to do so. Really a shame it has taken people twenty years to realize what happened. Fuck.

Anyone who supports the DHS spooks during this whole debacle is a mondo cuck who is gleefully willing to live in a police state as long as it provides them the short-term reward of seeing a couple of annoying kids with dyed hair and Che shirts get beaten up on TV.

DHS should grab people who have actually done something. I could say some really stupid shit lile some politician deserves to be shot. It is free speech until I actually try to attempt it.

I just feel like the shock is a little late in the game. This is 2020. Not 2006 or something. All of this was talked about and people argued and then Celebrity Apprentice came on and people went to sleep. I recall it all in glorious detail. It boils down to what you want doesn't matter because career politicians like Nancy Pelosi and Lindsey Graham will always be there.

As for me I have always been more in the center, the only exception being world politics where America #1.

Tough on crime and states rights are not mutually exclusive.

When the state fails to protect the citizens the federal government should step in.

Oh well the state doesn't want lower crime. Better send them back.

Here is what the local government says here Dark Corp. So when the locals cannot play along the federal government does it's rightful role and moves in. I don't see what the problem is. I've never felt that bad for cops in my life.

And when the fed steps in, nothing changes.

Whether it is the national guard or DHS, law enforcement should be designated somehow, no different than regular police.

Any arrests made by a federal agency still needs to follow the same procedures local law enforcement would normally use.

If DHS is being used in a police or law enforcement capacity, it should be made plain to the public. Right now, we have agents in fatigues and body armor with no markings of any kind, driving around in un marked vehicles, just nabbing people.

My worry is the possibility that the president pulls agents from a federal agency and then uses them to create his own secret task force, whos agents can just arbitrarily detain people with no probable cause, in complete anonymity. And no, speech alone should not be considered probable cause.

Internet comment etiquette is so bad Yahoo disabled comments. I left a strongly worded comment in their survey. It appears that more right leaning people post on Yahoo while left leaning posters mainly throw bricks through buildings to leave feedback. Also, most posts are about how biased and left leaning Yahoo is.
