There was already a series where women are uber valueable, but not as currency, they become the rulers of gangs. I really enjoyed Battletanx.

Reminds me of the Saga of Recluse. There was a nation (or several?) with a culture with the gender roles swapped, due to a social system that stemmed from an age-old myth that made them see men as the inferior sex. So sons were the dainty princes to be bedded by the strong female guards and often kept locked away so they would be chaste until their arranged marriages went through, meanwhile the women were the ones who ran everything.
