Power Armor Design

well then you can make it of plastic, wich is cheaper, easier to work with, and lighter.
But hell, if it's so easy, why don't you just do it yourself? Getting ahold of metal and tools is not the hardest part, believe you me.

no need to be a prat you just need someone who is a plastic welder i have a friend who does that sort of stuff ok unlike you i have a job and other things to keep me occupied than to be a lil prat on a forum

Strike one for being a complete dick for no reason whatsoever.

Instead of going 'You have no job, you're a prat!' maybe you could've, you know, responded on the subject.

For that matter, maybe you could use punctuation and capitalisation. Because your posts are nigh illegible like this.

Double post? and no self deletion correction? :(

But I forgive you because you are putting up that VFS demo

It's possible to make a Extremely well-made Power-Armor for Cosplaying, problem is that you need alot of items.
Tubing,Plastic Moulds to make the Suits,Rubber items and more....To sum it up you need Props Making Skills and MONEY

I'd like to mention, if you're in the United States, your helmet has to meet Department of Transportation guidelines. I hate to be the bearer of the law, but it's the law, Jack. Same reason I can't wear a fighter pilot helmet on my bike.

Depends on where you live. If your in a state(like utah) that doesn't have such standards you can wear whatever you want on your head, so long as: You can operate your vehicle safely However any combat helmet would meet the standard for riding a motorcycle. In particular one outfitted with MICH pads.

The army and marines require the ACH/LWH/PASGAT/ect. to be worn while riding dirt bikes or other vehicles.

I'm almost done with my helmet. It's made out of Sintra (Similar to StormTrooper costumes) and various items from home Depot and my basement. Maybe I'll complete the set by halloween

Friggin awesome indeed. That video a couple posts up was awesome as well.

Thanks guys. Yes, there is a back. Sorry I should have posted more pics. I think I'm gonna finish the helmet and the rest of the armor. I'm hoping the Helmet will be the hardest part. I say that because of all the little knick knacks and spheres that are on it. Sintra doesn't like to be bent into a sphere. It has the same bending properties of paper unless you thermoform it. I attached my template for those of you interested. It's supposed to be on a 24"x36" size paper. I don't have a template for the top of the helmet because I made that manually once the rest was together. There are 2 nose cones and 3 different size filters on the template because I can't remember which ones I used :)

I love it. It's not perfect as in: perfect replica of what one sees in the game footage. But it looks perfectly executed and damn professional.

Definitely upload the best of these pics (like the first one and the fifth one) to the Fan Art Gallery, if you don't mind.

Very good job. :ok:

The helmet is awesome!
Nicely done!
Hope to see the completed suit one day.
Would be really cool to see someone in the suit.

And video was really awesome too.
Maybe one day there'll be a Fallout movie by someone with that kind of quality?
I just hope it doesn't have a thrash plot.
But knowing Hollywood nowadays.
Well, one can always hope!

If you really plan on going Hardcore on making a T51-B Costume you would need the resources of a Moviemaker Props man. A "Real" Power Armor can be realized...

If people can do a Xenomorph costume. Everything is possible.

Just look on how many fans did a Colonial Marines costume as well.

Today you even can let people do it for you and you buy it (not cheap though that I can tell you) and it can take some time. But to say that. If one is really obsesed with a Fallout Power armor and want one, talking to those people would be the best way to go. Asking for advice and help, for example. Experience is always important.
