Oh yeah, that's not generalizing at all. There are just as many grown douches as there are spoiled 13 year olds. And then the occasional normal person. Rarely. Who is then chased off with digital torches and pitchforks.
The XBox has always seemed like a sports and action oriented system (it's users being mostly kids, frat boys, sports freaks, and similarly impatient folk) and other than a handful of games for the 360 plus some of the XBox arcades stuff, it's the same. It also doesn't help that I like Japanese console games and those, for the most part, are missing from the XBox.
Funny thing is that the main reason I bought the original Xbox back in the day was for Morrowind, Knights of the Old Republic, and a few other games like that. They weren't coming to the PS2, and my computer at the time couldn't even handle the
menus of the games of the time.
The majority of users go more for the action and sports stuff, but more often than not the Xbox was the sole haven aside from PCs to get western-style RPGs. Sony and Nintendo were content to provide JRPGs (some of which I love, but that's not the topic).
In this generation Sony has been more willing to have them as well, but I now have a capable computer, and the 360 catches everything else just fine.
