Putting an NMA bar in Wasteland 2 (goal reached!)

A bar that does not allow mutants fits the setting perfectly. It's something that won't be jarring if encountered by someone who doesn't know about this site.

Our paypal page keeps showing up in Polish for people before they log in. I've been looking around the settings but I just can't find where I'm supposed to change this. Anyone know?

The location of the formal PayPal account's holder is in Poland, and there is this quirk that PayPal will display this page in Polish for first-time users. I believe this was not initially the case when the account was set up.

This will not happen if you are a PayPal user and log on to you account, or if you have previously used PayPal to pay, say, for eBay purchases without setting up an actual account.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I am devising a way to rectify this, in the mean time, please complete the page as you would normally - this should be pretty self-explanatory, luckily.

Wow. Have been on a trip so I haven't been checking in and thus a little late to the party. Regardless, I asked a friend to Paypal in 37 bucks for me (an odd sum so that it's recognizable). BN, can you confirm that you received it? If all is well, I will donate a bit more when I'm back.

Many thanks, Maximaz. We've gotten your donation of 37$ (your friend's initials are "A.B." :))

Excellent. Thanks Silencer.

An NMA bar in Wasteland 2, by Brian Fargo. Think about that wankers.

Gave you guys $25 from a Codexer. Would love to walk into the NMA bar after visiting the Codex Shrine

I can't remember who said it, but I totally agree with the person (a dev?) who said he felt easter eggs/in-jokes should be so subtle that they are unnoticeable to the player who isn't aware of the reference.

Tim Cain said that here @ 24m30s.

If you manage to raise $2500, you can add an artifact - a glittering gem of hatred.

Not a bad idea at all.

Ausir, Silencer, and Per are confusing the fuck out of me. :D

I am selling my semen to raise money for this!

I am deeply ambivalent about this. While cool for NMA and donors, I think this sort of reference and location could end up harming the quality of the game in the end. I don't want to walk into a bar named after a fansite filled with NPCs based around the regulars on the site - whether that site is Codex, NMA, or whatever.
This didn't hurt Lands of Lore... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZgpBC1FFZs#t=12m46s

Or this... Fallout 2 ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91lk4dhrCh0

I can't remember who said it, but I totally agree with the person (a dev?) who said he felt easter eggs/in-jokes should be so subtle that they are unnoticeable to the player who isn't aware of the reference. I really hope Fargo can ensure this is the case with Wasteland 2, but a bar based around a fansite is really pushing it, IMO.
That was Tim (Cain).

My stupid country is not covered by PayPal :\

I can't donate. I only have Visa but they don't except any transactions from Serbia, no matter what card you have :(

Put in $20.
Fuck yeah NMA Bar.
A 'Glittering Gem of Hatred' item would have been cool, too :D

Hmmm. Actually on second thought that'd probably not be all that feasible. After all you'd be buying in your name much lower than most people, which would just be unfair.

There'll be enough real names/weird nicknames floating around WL2 already, TBH.

That is true and a list of nicknames would go to far somehow as well.

But I'm sure you'll set us in stone somewhere here on the page. :P

30 USD incoming.

Edit: Maybe Fargo is generous enough to give you, as we don't take any physical rewards, one extra digital copy for all donors.
