R.I.P. Robin Williams

I was able to trace my lineage back to simple forms of aquatic life. No royalty, no nobility, no nothing. :(

Speaking of, Ancestry.com says I'm related to Jesus. JESUS. Bow down motherfuckers.

But then again they also said I'm related to Poseidon, so....

On a serious note, I actually personally traced back my lineage (and payed to get a look at many, many old documents) because these bullshit websites are so unbelievable (yes, they really said I was related to Jesus and Poseidon. As a matter of fact, Poseidon appears to be my 75th Grandfather according to Ancestry. Is that why I like to swim?). The only thing that they told me that they actually had evidence to back up through their DNA profiling and old historical records. was that I am apparently related to King Louis IX (my great cousin or great grandfather or some shit, I can't remember what they said). Kepp in mind that this may not be 100% correct. For all I know my family may have been his great-great-great-etc. 4th cousin or something. Don't get me wrong, Ancestry.com isn't TOTAL bullshit. But once you start to go past your, say 25th grandfather, it starts to become ridiculous.

Eventually I traced my lineage back to;

• French on my mother's side (50%)
• Sioux Tribal on my father's side, with a bit of Spanish blood (50%).

So, my heritage is, half french half Spanish.

Apparently sometime during the 1700's, my mother's ancestors moved from France to Louisiana (then called "New France"). They stayed there all the way up until the 1950's, where my Grandmother moved from Louisiana to Nevada, Las Vegas to be specific. She had my mother there.

On my father's side, well this one you've heard before. Some Spaniards came over, encountered a native american tribe, did the do with them, and bam, you have a Spanish-Native mix, also known as a Mestique or Meztique.

Many, many decades later, I'm born.

I have blonde hair, blue eyes, body hair, and freckles.

Idk, but there's a Led Zeppelin song about it I think.

I actually thought I was half Irish/Celtic for the longest time, because my mother's last name is McConnell. It turns out the only reason she has that name is because my great-grandmother was adopted....

My REAL last name on my mother's side should be Vonn/Vaughn (there's two ways to spell it, first one is the traditional French version, second's got a bit of English culture thrown into it. Over the many years my families name changed eventually from Vonn to Vaughn after the English invaded France and started to hold lands there (as a matter of fact, my Great (x12) Grand Mother was a Baroness in France (crowned by the then Dauphin), and I believe her land ended up getting taken by the English in which she was then hung for being a traitor to the English crown). Eventually English and French culture started to mix and blah blah blah who cares.

On my Father's side it's Fernandez. My Spanish ancestors were common soldiers serving under the Viceroy of New Spain. No royalty there, that I know of. Eventually they banged some Indians and my would-be half Spanish bloodline turned into a half-Mestizo blood line. But my Father was ALSO adopted (my grandma married someone else when he was like four) and so I don't hold the name Fernandez either. Instead I hold some extremely long ass Polish name that has nothing to do with my heritage or blood-line.

The only person of interest I know of in my long chain of begats is William Henry Harrison, a frail old codger whose only two accomplishment in his short term as U.S. president were to give a tedious, overly verbose inauguration speech and to die because he was too stupid to come in out of the rain. I'd like to think I'm doing him proud.

We´re all related, don´t you know? To each other, genetically, to the earth chemically and to the universe atomically.
