Rageaholic Review/Critique of Fallout New Vegas

his excuse is " i'm not nostalgic towards old games." so he feels he can be more dismissive of them compared to newer ones.

Chris and Hbomb are clear examples of how you can find success on youtube even if you put zero effort into your 'analysis'.

The only decent video essay style YouTubers I've found recently is Warlockracy. Guy does excellent playthroughs/analysis videos on all kinds of stuff. Chris Davis, Joseoh Anderson, Hbomb, they all blow dick.

Joseph Anderson makes a lot of great points like in his Mario Oddysey and Zelda Breath of the Wild reviews, but he just rambles on and on. He could say what he's saying in like half the time.

Hbomber is inconsistent. He can be on point like on his review of Fallout 3, but then throw a bitch fit on how some people didn't liked Dark Souls 2 and he has to make a video tackling every criticsm made towards the game. And that whole Dark Souls 2 video just devolved into "Dark Souls 1 bad Dark Souls 2 good".

My issue with Hbomb is more that he's not genuine at all. I get the impression he doesn't care at all about the topics he covers, he's in it for the clicks. There's nothing unique about whatever he says in that F3 video, he makes things purely to be a contrarian and drive up views. That's why he seems smart in one instance and a total blithering moron in another.

Joseph is just too long, and kind of dumb himself. Shit tends to fly over his head.

Dunno if he isn't genuine but there's only going to be so much that you can say regarding a videogame that came out well over 10 years ago. Not going to be much room left for unique perspectives there. Even for something with the depth and expansiveness of New Vegas we've seen and heard about every take there is on it. Fallout 3 is pretty fun depending on your perspective so I don't think he's necessarily disingenuous.

It's really convenient that almost everything he covers happens to have that circumstance then. As someone with an interest in almost everything he has made a video on I seriously doubt he does anything more than trawl discussion forums and other places for his analyses.

You can extrapolate that from his review, but i can also hazard a guess that he pretty much reached the same conclusion as a lot of people: Fallout 3 is garbage. Sure, he's just repeating what a lot of people claim about the game, but i don't think there's anything wrong with making a video that reaches a lot of the same conclusions.

He also did brought up some stuff people don't really talk about when it comes to the issues with the game.

I don't think hating on Fallout 3 is as big as a win you think it is. Outside here And a few other places, Fallout 3 is still fondly remembered. For a lot of People, it's the first RPG they played so it'll garner a nostalgic response.

While i disagree with some stuff Hbomberdude says, he hits the nail on the head with those Fallout videos.
There's only so much you can say about a game that's 10 years old as everything has already been said about Fallout 3.

Really the best you can do is open the discussion to a largely enough audience at this point. Even then, i doubt Fallout 3 is still getting the mass sales. It's getting nostalgia and curiosity buys. The People Who wanted to play it played it a long time ago.

How can you not have an entire philosophical book written about Fallout 3 and call yourself a real "youtube game analysis channel?"

Fucking pathetic.
