That first song makes me feel like I'm being injected with pure russia. It's weird, there's parts that make me want to shut it off as quickly as possible, and parts where I really think I can dig it a lot. . . I suppose I'll give it a 6/10. There's some neat parts but that's what I give it as a whole.

Second isn't a bad song, but all the band had going so far for me was their quirky crazyness. And here they kinda lost it and the song doesn't grab me at all.

I myself got hooked on this song just now, whilst I'm exploring "Ristorante Mixtapes" by Nujabes. I also downloaded his whole discography and am looking forward to diving into that. He reminds me of Bonobo.

Which is either "Rabbit in your headlights (underdog instrumental)" or "Prefuse 73 - Point to B" depending on where you get your information.

Sounds like a movie music from some Walt Disney stuff. Very lifeless. 2/10

This is our punk-rock band and their tribute to Soviet occupation lasting for almost 50 years. With matrjoschka and stuff!

And there's one more song from the same group, just to point out that they're not that crazy all the time. For the next poster - rate whichever you want, it's up to you!

David Bowie? Lifeless! Now I've heard it all! You've insulted my musician waifu!(Husbando? I don't know how these terminologies work.)

Not to offend, but how far into it did you listen? I can see you getting the lifeless impression if you stopped listening before the 35-second/40 second mark.

sounds like heaven shall burn and murderdolls combined
i dont like it because i dont listen to metal anymore but the lyrics are fun

here,have some barbecue

Not bad. It doesn't sound generic at all... it's hard to keep your music original today, especially when everything has been done before. The only hope to make original music is to experiment. 8/10.

That has to be the shortest song I've ever heard. And I thought Esham's songs were short. Anyways, I like the beat, nice groove to it. 8.0/10

The backwards speech, is something like this when reversed:

"Fuck the Devil, fuck that shit
We believe in life legit
If you hearin' what we say
Why you throw your soul away?"

Eh, way to mainstream and softcore for me. I don't mean as in, the beat was slow paced, I mean he isn't saying anything that speaks to me as a person, makes me want to bump his song in my car, or saying anything that makes me think and just say "Yeah!" (which is how I got into underground rap/wicked rap in the first place). Rap took a huge nosedive after 2005 worldwide. Mainstream rap, which was already a terrible piece of shit of a genre which made my ears bleed as it is, only got worse (hence, Lil Wayne and Chingy...) Rap was better when the entire industry was underground as a whole, when you had maybe one or two radio stations dedicated to rap, except for in cities like NY or LA of course. Back when Eazy-E, Grandmaster Flash, Run DMC, NWA, and Dr. Dre (while he was still young) were "new" and "fresh".

Hm. I get the feeling you don't like rap much, and if you do(n't), it'd be some shit you heard on the radio. Which this song was made for...

Woah bro. First, does rap really *need* to be insightful? Second, that song isn't, but Insane Clown Posse is? But it's true though, I don't like rap much.

Mostly.

I can appreciate skill of any style; rap included... I know that rap is intrinsically narcissistic by intention, but much of it seems childishly juvenile.

Digital Underground had some good songs.

And now for something completely different.

I don't think anyone could have made a better score to Conan than Basil Poledouris.

I can see why you would make this statement. Most rappers that actually care about the music they make are unknown by the masses of drooling cavemen that only show interest in rap songs that have a catchy beat and and ridiculous punchlines.

I would rate this a 6/10.

One of my favorite tracks from this fantasic game.

I can only think of John Williams as a match:

But it should be noted that I was listening to the Conan soundtrack Album when I came into this thread and started reading it just now.
I did find it an amusing coincidence that you suggested it, and I happened to first read this while I had it playing.

Here is my choice to rate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Gv0H-vPoDc

I'm not sure which song I'm supposed to rate here lol. Some of them I really liked, others', not so much...

Exactly why I keep it underground....

Now, if you tell me this song is all incessant bullshit or juvenile, you've simply never dealt with any of these problems yourself, or have never felt like this.

"I wish I was dead, but I'm fucked up in the head
Because I'm kinda hesitant to kill myself, but I hate life.
Life ain't nothing but money, and it ain't funny when your hunny get's runny" (when the woman you love leaves you)

....

"And I don't give a fuck though,
Sometimes, I feel like giving up yo"
