Hey Big B, I'd love to see you reaction to this song:

As for your song. . 7/10. Nice tunes, rapping seems good but I'm no good judge of rapping.

I liked it.

I've been playing MGR:Revengeance recently.

I gotta say the use of music is pretty good.

I'm no rap connoisseur, but that one just blends in with most previous rap I've heard.

I actually liked that song Ak. It's got a strange vibe to it, in a good way. I can't place what kind of vibe, but it's there. That's more than I can say I get from most artists (outside the few underground one's I listen to these days) today. When I play music, I usually expect me to "feel" what they're saying. You know, play something that while your listening to the lyrics, after you interpret them in your own way, your just like, "Hell yeah!"... if that makes any sense anyways. Also, it's is good to listen to music that is actually based more ON music than lyrics (of any genre). Especially when that music has got atmospheric (an underrated genre), radiant vibe to it.

Ok, so I've just heard of these guys, but they're weird as fuck (and I don't mean my kind of music weird ((since I know all of you think my taste in music is strange))). Apparently they're from South Africa, Cape Town. Almost all of their songs are in English, but occasionally they have a few lyrics (not alot though) in Afrikaans. So, yeah these guys are pretty fucking weird though. I'm still trying to decide whether that is in a good or bad way lol.

Now, this music is..... interesting to say the least. Let me put it this way: is it something to where, if I'm bored I'd listen to a few of their songs? Yes. Is it something I would play in my car? No. Is it something I'd be willing to check out more of their songs, and explore them a bit more? Yes, but only because I'm curious. Would I vouch for these musicians, and even call myself a fan? .....Probably not. But nevertheless, I wanted you guys to check them out, and tell me what you think. They are underground, and are pretty popular in the European underground community, and are getting popular in the US's underground community as well. Now, because this board is an international one, and we're known from having members from several different nations and backgrounds (because the awesomeness of Fallout is revered and accepted worldwide, and there is no better gaming board than NMA {possibly no better online forum/board period}), I would not be surprised if some of you have heard of these guys. So without further ado, I give you:

~Die Antwoord~

-----------------------------
Die Antwoord is a South African music group that focuses on Hip-Hop (of the South African variety), while mixing general South-African type hip-hop with alternative rock, rave music, and electro (electronic beats, which is considered a mixture between "house" music and techno. The South African hip-hop group Die Antwoord has claimed to be the one(s) who've pioneered this new sound-type and brand new genre, calling the new "genre" of music "Zef". Zef's musical and visual style incorporates elements of a so-called "zef" culture, described by Die Antwoord's members as modern, trashy, and out-of-date cultural elements. Member Yo-Landi said; "Zef is, you're poor but you're fancy. You're poor but you're sexy, you've got style". The majority of Die Antwoord's songs are performed in English, however many of them at times contain lyrics done in the Afrikaans, and more rarely, the Xhosa languages. Die Antwoord consists of Ninja, whom is a lead vocalist, Yolandi Visser, who is also a lead vocalist and acts as Die Antwoord's hypeman during concerts, and finally DJ Hi-Tek, who creates all of Die Antwoord's music (beats), and produces all of their albums (though Ninja has been credited as co-producer on several songs and albums in Die Antwoord's discography). DJ Hi-Tek is widely known among the band's fans for being afflicted with the genetic disease Progeria. Die Antwoord has toured in every continent on Earth (except for Antarctica, of course), while the group has developed a large cult following.

7/10.

Before I go bashing someone else's taste in music, UMHEMM, like some people on here. I want to start by saying I'm not a huge fan of rap or hip hop. That's not to say I don't have songs I enjoy or even have on my playlist. It's just not as big to me as most other music I listen to. I listen to a lot of music, but my taste is my own. It's now narrow, just fickle. I can listen to stuff that people hate and enjoy it, and listen to the best music to most people and down right dislike it. You can't HATE music, I wish people could get that through their heads. You didn't make it, so how can you say "It's not music" when that's what it fucking is? You don't walk up to people and go "I fucking hate country", because to them, that's all they like. If you do, do that? You're probably pretty anti-social. I'm not saying don't have views, I'm saying express those views without ass raping someone and telling them their mother's next while your doing it. Be courteous. Sure, they'll be that one asshole who loves Justin Beiber, and you want to rip his fucking eyes out, but we're a society. You go to prison for that. So take the high road, walk away slowly, and say "I'm not a big fan", and internally hope he gets hit by a truck.

Moving on, I'm going to show you a band that I just found, that is GOD awful. It's like Elvis meets Bob Seger, have a kid together, and then make the kid listen to Meshuggah for 18 years. They're honestly a funky band, that really stand out of the crowd with noodling guitar work, primal bass work, and efficiently chaotic drum work. You're going to hate them, but seriously, take a moment of your time to not just "I fucking hate this because It's not what I listen to all the time"

And, also.

uhhh... 2/10, not really my cup of tea, but who am I to judge what other people listen to. If I had to pick a "favorite" it'd be the second of the two
I'm more of an 70s and early 80s kind of music listener, despite not being born in those decades. I just need something with a good rhythm, maybe some guitar

give the song 45 or so seconds to get good

I was just giving you a hard time man, I just thought there would be ONE undying metal-head in here somewhere.

Really cool, enjoyed it 8/10

I still can't believe this band is only bass guitar + drums + vocals.

7.5/10 I don't like the song itself much lyrics-wise or in structure and whatnot, but their talent makes it enjoyable.

10/10 compared to other music.

6.5/10 compared to other tool.

@Danza

There are people familiar with music who have come and gone from this community. This era in the existence of NMA has shown an influx of people who aren't very musically experienced, which is indicative of the population at large, however at least they have an interest in music. Thing is, I came here finding NEW things while going on my own gnostic pilgrimage. Now, it seems I'm the one with more experience.

Not shooting down others taste in music and intellectual sovereignty, You guys have horrible taste in music. But that's just like, my opinion, man.

Gimme some of dat Pork SOda.

Kind pointless to assume what others' musical tastes are based on 10-15 songs from Youtube.

That being said, EW is good, haven't listened to it in a while. 8/10

Im basing my observation on NMA as whole as of late.

Also, you can see patterns, as well as psychology in action when one trys to communicate through the "art" or "language" of others.

Music itself is subjective to a degree, however I am commenting on the lexicon, rather than the music itself.

Aswell, Isis gets a 9/10, and AtomKilla has similar tastes as me.

*edit* I guess I have to post a video.
