10/10 for the inspiring lyrics.

I discovered this band recently and this is my favorite song so far.

Fuck yes, that's the first Neurosis song I've ever heard and is one of my favorite songs in general. Ultimate band, though that particular song is one of the more "accessible" ones.

Go through their discography chronologically if you haven't, and don't omit a release - their works are titanic and should be taken in a proper order.

This band is heavy as fuck but I love it so far. I already fucked up for the order though, I started with Souls at Zero and I'm listening to Times of Grace right now. What's your favorite album?

Dunno, it's hard to say. Each album offers something unique to me and different from every other. If I had to pick one I'd probably go for A Sun That Never Sets. It's probably the "softest" Neurosis album, but I consider it the bleakest and darkest, which is quite an accomplishment given their overall work.

But it's an unfair competition really, if you asked me that question two months ago, I'd probably respond differently.

Reading your let's play while listening to Neurosis is a unique experience.

Haha, I typed some of that shit while listening to Neurosis.
I'm not sure how I'd feel about knowing that Neurosis goes well with white supremacist power fantasy hahaha It's probably best to read it with some NSBM.
In fairness though, I often reference Deathspell Omega there, since it's Hassknecht's favorite band, and I do listen to it a lot while typing that. Most of the lyrics in the LP are from various black/death metal artists, more often than not those which were (allegedly) associated with racism, white power and shit like that.
In any case, check Omega out if you haven't, it's an amazing band.

I was wondering where all those lyrics came from. I'll be sure to check that band later.

8/10 Definitely gonna check me out some more of their stuff. I like indie, it's just something I never really get around to.

7/10 A bit too French for my liking, and can't make up its mind if it wants to be sad or cheerful.

If you don't like it, I'll probably cry

Quite beautiful. I don't speak russian, what's it about? 9/10

Very mesmerizing, with a ton of research, but maybe too ambient/floaty for me. 6/10

Bonus instrumental mental version (thank you, Dvorak)

Fecking thing. Been listening to this since I was 12, goosebumps never go.

It's an old cossack song about death. The singer of the song sees a black raven (the name of the song) and tries to deny it's his time to die. After a while he finally accepts his fate and dies. It's a cool song with a lot of meaning, but these days Russian men normally just chant it after drinking too much vodka.
