    you gyus are just crazy you know it? AL three of you, YO! Contie and also Lexx. You really do a great job to Fallout. Good to see and to know, these day...the dark days....the fallout 3 and addons days.

    brother_soifran, very good work with that stuff. But please change this image to a thumbnail. I really can't stand to scroll 10 kilometers to left and right when looking at the page.

    This is pretty cool. Also because of your work I saw details I've never noticed before... heh. It makes everything a bit more complex on the left side of the building.

    Just a suggestion if you want to create a production pipeline with someone ;)

    Reduce uber high poly count on your meshes, otherwise will be pain in da ass to Unwrap it. Not to mention about rendering time(s). Also, don't export your meshes to triangles. Do that to quads or polygons.

    It's true that the textures are safe.
    But if I can make a comment ;)
    I have nothing against Russians, but your cathedrale
    look a little bit...
    Massive, like those russians architectures dating
    from Staline.
    Impressive, fat giving a feeling of power but not
    very delicate ;)
    But it's a nice work.
    Only a vision of a french living in a world of castel and Cathedrale ;)

    I have planned to add some more details to the place short under the roof. I already have some ideas for it to fill the place. Also I am thinking about some windows on the big walls, but I am not yet sure about how it could look, so as always... basics first. :P

    Looks a little bigger than the original.
    And i guess the windows go from the bottom to the top.

    Not sure Demon.
    If you count the number of "stone" making the front side, you will find 7.5 block of stones.
    Lexx have placed "only" 6.
    So it's not too much ;)
    All it's question of proportion with this kind of trial.
    We have only the pic have post Lexx and the pic he made from the game.
    All the work is only feeling.
    It's a prokect which 'll have a lot of time I think (not so much but sometime).
    So we must adjust better as we can.

    @Lexx.
    To keep on the discuss with Demon, I think I won't send you this evening the blocks of stone because I need first adjust them as best I can.
    This evening I achieve the..
    "arche de soutenement" in french.
    And I need some adjustement.
    Do worry.
    I'll send you this as soon as possible.

    Exact. My cathedral is - in fact - smaller. But still it is gigantic ingame. ; ) I count at least 10 tile parts with 512x512px size. I don't want to make it more higher as it is right now.

    The new walls you have made are great. I think with this it is really possible to make it 1:1 fit- and then I can still paint over original copy&pasted art to make it look like the original.

    /Edit: And yes, the screenshot is again, too big. Way too big. I need to scroll as long to left and right as the chinese wall is.

    When I look at the video, the cathedral should have windows on side between the pillars.
    I made example.


    Also, I think the spheres on top of the columns should be more to the edge of them, and the massive columns should be shorter in northern direction. Then the first massive rib (I found the term "Dutch gable") of roof could be made as continuation of the first perforated pillar.The front wall with decoration would be just in front of it.
    I also made example for better visualization.

    The windows things is true, you can see it in the video where the cathedral explodes. But I am not sure at the moment if it is like in your example (but I think I like the red and yellow thingy).

    The spheres and so on are very wip and basic. It will change of course. But I don't agree on the big base thingy where they are placed on.

    Btw. did you made the windows image from scratch? Because at the moment I wonder why it looks so clean.

    For the windows I have used this picture and for everything else this one.

    I have also made the full color example of column end. It should be like this but the front wall would be moved a bit...

    The funny thing is, when I see the quality of the image, I get the feeling that it would be better, if you would do the cathedral painting wise.

    Now I agree on the column design. It looks much more fitting.

    The whole thing is just copy and paste, so anyone with good patience could make it, the real problem comes, when there is need of making parabolic roof, that would be something to make it just from little pieces taken from another areas of picture. So that's where I end. I don't have enough skills or patience to make 3D art put it together and then make it look real with bumps, scratches and stuff.

    I have made these examples to assure myself that you don't forget to place windows there :). And to show you how I imagine the end of columns. So I am glad that you agree how the ball fits there.

    Very good, but I think, there are too much "spikes". I am not 100% sure too, but I think they are not every second wall block and just on the corners.
