Revolution & The Last of Us Truck Ambush Trailers

I'm not expecting the same king of experience, no one should. I just have faith in their ability to pull of what they set to do.

I guess a good place to look for vegetation is Pripjat and detroit.

Seriously. Those areas are ghost towns. It shows what happens when a once modern society leaves a very populated area alone.

Last of US trailer is cool. The second trailer is cheesy, dumb, and shit. I like how the highway gets hit with the blackout starting with one of the main dude's car and how a plane falls out of the sky because of a blackout, flashing it's various lights and etc. and etc.

Even without power to control it can an airplane fall vertically like that? :S

Depends on the weight. It would be possible for a plane to glide down I think, but I only have experience with light aircraft, and if it was too heavy it would just take a nose dive and plummet, unlike in the trailer where i think it was spinning around.

Fuck Sony, I'm not going to buy a PS3 just for one game.

PS3 has more than one game. :p

EDIT: In order to be helpful...other than post-apocalyptic games, what other kinds of games do you like and I can tell you what PS3 exclusives match your criteria. :)

Airplanes are designed to glide in the event of a power loss, even massive airbuses!

Revolution looks like your typical American TV tripe.

These console-exclusive games are really standing on my nerves. Read Dead Redemption, Alan Wake (for PC and 360... but not for PS3), and now The Last of Us? Does that make any sense?

Not to mention MGS4 and God of War 3. I miss my PS3.

Yeah, they always did, helps push sales of the platform. A title like The Last of Us is also probably developed from day 1 with the PS3's weird specifications in mind, so it would take a huge effort to port it back to Xbox 360 and PC.

Red Dead Redemption wasn't exclusive. It was on PS3/360/PC. I have it on PS3.

And like Stanislao said, Last of Us is developed by Naughty Dog who are a Sony first party studio. They're not gonna make a game for the competition.

Seriously? That sucks. My bad. Were they going to and then changed their mind? I could swear I heard them mention they were going to do a PC version. o_O

Yeah, obviously it's just they thought it wouldn't be worth it. Or, as it is said, "business-wise". Gotta love this sentence!
Computers are by far more powerful than consoles and probably the future of gaming. Such a decision can only be made by people that look only at money graphs and never played video games.

I doubt they're truly the future of gaming... If computers are to ever reach consoles in terms of mainstream popularity (we're mostly talking US here), both will be obsolete. You probably won't need an actual screen for playing Call of Duty anyways.

Regardless of popularity of course. In terms of technical progress and possibilities.
