Ok, check this out for our break down at Congress. This is actually kind of interesting.
To answer your question- with have eight members of the House that are foreign born, coming from Cuba, Hungary, Taiwan, Japan, Mexico, Pakistan and the Netherlands.
Rep. Peter Hoekstra of Michigan is from the Netherlands and now represents Holland, Mich. He keeps wooden shoes in his office.
We have had foreign born Senators- but none at present.
35 are veterans.
3 are American Indians
Seven are from Asia, the Pacific or from Hawaii.
SOme represent the Virgin Islands, American Somoa, and Guam.
25 are Hispanic and 39 are Black.
