Snow exists in many deserts, but normally only at night, in the shade or during winter.

But I suppose it would be very hard to simulate this in the game.

But there are many mountainous areas in the game, perhaps they could contain snow tiles?
 
Hello continuum, I've made the transition coresponding to GRDFLAXX.
For the asphalt.
I've called them
RODFLAXX.FRM
From 10 TO 38.
Here is a exemple of integrationquickly made.
If you approve them, I can share them, and make the other.

I'll also make transitions for GRDFLBXX and GRDFLDXX. GRDFLCXX is done and uploaded (link in first post in this thread). Not sure about GRDFLEXX and GRDFLFXX, since they're rather not good for city areas. Does anyone use them there (city)? If so, any screenie?

I got PSD (52 layers), so it's only a matter of saving/converting, since I cleared every single tile (CURBXX and ROADXX) from desert.


271 tiles so far, next I'll get 104 from transitions for GRDFLBXX and GRDFLDXX and potential 104 for GRDFLEXX and GRDFLFXX. Next just add another 6 ground types + their transitions and mythical 4096 border will be crossed! :ugly:
 
is it just me, or those tiles look a little like the bottom of a dried out pond or lake?...very nice!

Yes. You just need to overwrite the original tiles.
 
Just for the record: in next update "D" type (and transitions) will be replaced with this:

Version 0.5 is up.

Changes:

- fixed D type (should be less blurry now),
- added compatibility with TIRS002 and WEED05-09 (scenery - check post above which ones) for A, B, C and D*,
- added (as bonus ;)) two, custom, weedy scenery pieces (I used existing art to make them) for A, B, C and D**.

Just crop each image, open FRM you want to change, add new bitmap, remove old and convert to FRM (it's very important to keep the same Frames Offset).

wow this one is really cool.

I hope some of this stuff will be used in the RP Areas for more induviality. like in Primitive Tribe, or EPA.

btw Contie whats about a new Tree Typ for the Primitive Tribe, cause the current map, not really lokks like a wood^^

Not sure about default, desert tiles. I'm not supporting them anymore :ugly: You may call it as self promotion of custom grounds ;)

In the future maybe new mountain will be done for C type (both directions):

IIRC WQ has made some custom plants (trees?). Besides, do you have any screenie of area/map you're talking about?

I have no Fallout/Mapper installed (and because of that I'm posting GIFs, instead of FRMs), but if you'll adjust Frames Offset correctly player will be able to get "behind" the sign.
 
all of them are nice, personally i like the middle one best.

and yes i know that there are some new trees and plants, but i think the did not really fit. The Map i mean is the enter map (wood) of primitive tribe.

maybe some one who has the RP istalled can post a mapper screeny, cause i am working on the critter editing, so i do not have installed the RP.
 
Where's the original tiles support, Contus Superbus? Oh yeah, kind of self-promo decision. A bad one, though! Do you realize some busy modders are not going to remade tiles in 50% finished maps? :lalala:

Yeah, but those scenery add-ons are aimed to improve visuals of custom grounds, not existing tiles. While using custom grounds you'll get a benefit from custom scenery pieces, which can be only seen there, not on every possible map. Besides, there's enough scenery stuff which blends with default, desert tiles to use (including a fucking UFO! :lol:). If you don't want to use it (from various reasons), it's your will, I'm not forcing anyone to use anything I did.
