Everytime I think about The Killing Joke comic or scroll past the movie on Netflix the first thing that comes to my mind is why does Batman fuck Batgirl?
 
Gotta get that Bat ass bro, apparently that’s necessary for a good story.

Although the comic did it without that, so probably not

Yeah I will concede that. Batman has been fortunate to have legitimately high quality writers attached to him. Batman blows MK out of the water in terms of quality of writing, but comparing the characters in premise, style etc I think Moon Knight is far more interesting. He just needs a good writer attached. I always thought Morrison would be a good fit.
 
Warren Ellis writing Moon Knight was great. There's one issue that basically reads like a Hotline Miami level. Warren Ellis once joked that Batman to deter his villains, should cut their nipples off. In that very same issue Ellis writes Moon Knight doing exactly that.

It is a good look though. However the other costume he wears in that run is also one of his best.

Also I feel like we should make a seperate Moon Knight thread. Either that or us Moonchads can continue to cuck the batmen

It just doesn't compare to the art in this run at least for me. Also The Killing Joke is overrated just to bring that back around to old ass Batman.
 
Yeah I can't say I was a huge fan of the art in that series. So much of that mid 2000s Civil War era Marvel aesthetic is ugly. I really liked Declan Shalvey's work on Moon Knight.
